It was important for my husband and I to support our local businesses and bonus for family businesses. That is really what stood out for us (other than the incredible portfolio of beautiful shots). From our first meeting with Mike we knew it was the perfect fit. We definitely felt the family vibes and loved Mike and his wife Kate who are both super down to earth and willing to help us fulfill our vision while still staying within our budget. My husband and I are so in-love with our engagement and wedding shots!! We both loved the candid and emotion filled shots that Mike and his assistant Simon were able to capture, they really have the eye for creating such beautiful photographs.We also had a great time during our shoots cracking jokes and laughing. Our guests also really loved interacting with Mike and Simon. They felt like part of our family. Could not have asked for more :)

We cannot express how wonderful Mike is to work with! He shot our engagement photos and wedding, capturing perfect moments during both! COVID has been an interesting time for everyone and Mike and Kate were very responsive, understanding and incredibly accommodating when it came time to reschedule! Mike is a very down to earth person, making photography feel very relaxed and stress free, also supplying some great laughs along the way! We highly recommend for anyone looking for wedding or life event photography!

Zekar shot our wedding in August 2014 and we cannot recommend the team highly enough. Mike, Kate and Kamila were excellent to work with and we are delighted with the entire suite of photos they produced. Mike is a major talent with an uncanny ability to capture candid moments. Kamila also has a great eye and provided helpful support the day of. We felt very lucky to have both of them shoot for us. Kate provided excellent administrative support, always being there to answer questions and help out as necessary.Our downtown Toronto wedding had some tricky logistics, but Mike, Kamila and Kate navigated the entire process seamlessly. Wedding planning can be intense and overwhelming; having a team that is flexible and easy to work with really is invaluable. Had my first professional shoot done and I wasn't sure what to expect or how it was going to go. But Mike was easy going, knew how to set the pace and very open. You can tell he loves what he does. He's very professional yet personable at the same time. Both Mike and Kate are very down to earth folks and I don't think I could have had a better experience. My photos turned out lovely and it was a great experience. I will definitely return in the future and I highly recommend Zekar Photography. Thank you so much Mike and Kate.

We hired Zekar Photography for our wedding (August 2020) and we couldn't be any happier with how our photos turned out!Jessica, our photographer on the day of the was so sweet, knowledgeable and attentive! She managed to capture all the important moments all on her own. She was super flexible and fun to work with! My wife and I had Zekar do our wedding and engagement photos. We were 100% happy with the photos. Everyone involved with photos was happy to chat and work with Mike. There are photos that look too perfect to be real, and due to creative lighting and positioning, more than a few photos are literally better than what was going on with our own eyes. Zekar Photography photographed our wedding in June 2022. I knew we wanted to work with Zekar because of their “true to life” editing and their candid photo journalistic style. I felt like we could be us, with no pressure to have the perfect wedding.Mike and his second shooter, Riley, did a fantastic job. They were professional and fun. They made us feel comfortable and also just blended in with the day. They captured the details as well as the fun and stunning photos that Zekar is known for. They also take the best photos of the kids at your wedding!Kate is the manager and she was always so prompt with replies even with changes during COVID. We also had a couple planning calls with Mike before the wedding.We highly recommend Zekar Photography!

We did our engagement and wedding photos with Zekar Photography. All of our pictures turned out amazing and Mike was great to work with. Mike did an amazing job really capturing all joy and laughter we had on our wedding day. When we look at our pictures in the future we will be able to remember exactly how we felt on our wedding day and not just how we looked. I absolutely loved how our wedding photos turned out. We decided to get picture done at the Cotton Factory (since it was raining that day) and it was the best decision. They look fantastic!

Jessica did the photography at my wedding last August. She did a phenomenal job and made the experience really enjoyable. I have hired both Mike and Kamila to take pictures of our children and our wedding. They are amazing. They were able to capture not just images but also the personalities of the people in the photos. Mike is a natural with kids and I will always treasure the pictures he took of my boys. Kamila photographed my wedding and did a phenomenal job.
