BMO Bank of Montreal

Horrible experience here, that neither staff named Aradhna Meelu or branch manager Brums keep their promise at all, they supposed to call me on Mon. yesterday, no one did, I called BMO center, after 2 and half hours waiting they finally connected and directed me to manager, and told me her staff was off, but her voicemail didn't reflect it. manager promised to call me today while still waiting, even I left a few voicemails, for the issue back to January. Service with BMO since 2006, maybe it’s time to consider switching to another bank. So disappointed and feeling of being ignored gets stronger and stronger day after day. I will keep updating for the result.

Well it looks like this branch has no management or leadership.I walk in to see an available teller (a heavy set red headed older woman) who wants to finish texting while she's smiling at her phone, about a minute later tells me I can move forward to the booth.Then this lady proceeds to get everything wrong regarding one of my questions where her manager has to come tell her the facts at which point she arrogantly agrees.These aren't bad people, they're just extremely under trained both on customer service and on their actual duties. She struggled with a system and apparently she's been there for over a year.Not going to lie, I have a TD and a BMO account and I'd much rather use TD. BMO has never upgraded their technology in the last 10 years it's sad.I guess crypto will be a real thing soon..

Firstly they never have enough tellers and secondly the tellers they have, have no customer skills. The lady behind the desk tells me at 3:45 on a Monday afternoon that, they are closing in 10 minutes, she is by herself and I need basically hurry up.She mentioned if I deposit my Cheque in the ATM machine, it will be cleared Faster. Went to the ATM machines and both machines were down. Terrible branch, never going back in there.

I had an appointment at 3pm. When I arrived I had to wait in line with one teller available. Knowing they have an appointment with someone at 3pm I should of been greeted to at least see if I was the one or anyone else who is waiting for the appointment or at least directed on what to do while I waited. As I waited there all of a sudden was an issue where every employee was in one office. I waited 20 minutes after my appointment where I was then told I had to wait longer. I was the only client in the building. I left my job to come to my appointment and I do not have time to wait. As a office manager I find it very unprofessional to leave a client waiting when you have numerous employees working. If I was managing that branch. I would find it only necessary to have one employee “comfort” the other employee having a problem and expect the others to continue their job.I have been with bmo ever since I was old enough to have a bank account and stopped coming to my designated branch because of how unprofessional the employees have been there. There is no structure or management.I was requested to come in to confirm my identity which I believe is completely ridiculous.And my opinion about this branch was again justified.

We went in with my partner to apply for a credit card. Aradhna Meelu helped us and she was amazing. She’s friendly, efficient and she made the whole process very simple.

Worst banking experience. I was redirected 3x to diffferent people. It is like all of them are busy because of the long line or they have scheduled appointment so they cant give you full service. For every redirection you have to wait around 10 to 15mins.Seems like it is the same bad experience that you get if you have to call customer service.

Went to put money on my credit card on Saturday only to find out that they changed and no longer accept cash on saturdays and that I’d have to go to another location. What kind of bank doesn’t accept cash when they are open? I don’t have an account and can’t pay cash any other way.Location is also habitually understaffed. I’ll be finding another bank

Staff were very friendly and nice but once again I find another BMO with a line of clients and only 2 tellers. What’s with BMO and the lack of open tellers? I have never just walk in and got service within 3 mins. I always have to wait between 10-15 mins. Which is long when you are bored of standing and waiting.

I'm certain nothing would please some of these reviewers. Every bank I've ever been to has a lineup, sometimes we have to wait our turn. I loved this bank, totally got the 'friendly neighborhood's bank vibe. My teller the other day, Karen (I only remember her name cuz I was thinking 'it's not true what they say about Karens') was fantastic. She was quick, efficient friendly and knowledgeable. BMO4Life

The Teller whom helped me was very friendly and warm. She listened as I explained what I need to get done, and also assured me what she would do. Customer service was there and ease of business too.
