Hair Obsession

I’ve been coming to this salon and getting my hair done by Dina since I was young girl! We’ve done everything from browns, to blacks, to blondes, to reds to all the trends like balayage, highlights, low lights, and hair cuts. I’ve LOVED the results every single time and could not recommend her more!All the ladies at the salon are lovely and help you figure out what’s best for you if you’re stuck between options!Between the experience and how much I always love my hair, I could never go anywhere else!

Master Stylist Dina and her team always meet and exceed expectations with quality services and products. What I also appreciate about this particular salon as a certified adult educator, is Dina’s professional commitment to ongoing education and training, not only for herself and her team; but also, in her dedication to continually hiring and training junior stylists, under her guidance and direction, by providing them with opportunities for hands-on experience. I love attending Hair Obsession (for colour every 4-6 weeks) and leaving with fresh, healthy hair colour and styles. Dina never pushes my colour-treated hair beyond its limits; the conversation is always lively; and I enjoy the diversity of speciality among the staff and watching them work.I do not live in the neighbourhood, but coming here is worth the driving time. If you're looking for a hair salon in Winnipeg, I highly recommend Hair Obsession! I recently had my hair done there and the experience was amazing. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and took the time to understand exactly what I wanted. The salon itself has a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, and I felt completely at ease throughout my visit. The end result was exactly what I had envisioned, and I couldn't be happier with my new look. If you're looking for a great hair salon in Winnipeg Hair Obsession is definitely the place to go!

Hair Obsession is by far my favourite hair salon. It is extremely clean and beautiful. Kaitlynn does my mom, my sister, and I. She’s amazing! Anything i’ve ever asked for, she’s done perfectly. Different tones of blonde, chunky money piece, baby lights, braids, face framing layers, she’s done it all and i’ve loved it every single time she’s done my hair. My hair always looks stunning, feels healthier, and it lasts a very long time after the appointments. :)

Hair obsession has a friendly, dedicated staff, who always strive to do their best for customers. Alison has done my hair for years, and I am always happy, with lots of compliments on it. Highly recommend!

Alison from Hair Obsession did an amazing job on my hair. As I sat on the chair while she put the colour in my hair I noticed a customer who was not happy the way her hair turned out. I thought the colour look beautiful on her.She paid and left, but she was not happy. Then a short time later, she calls the salon and starts to complain to the owner about her experience, and the owner was trying to explain, but Mrs. Cotton did not want to let Dina talk. Then Mrs. Cotton hanged up on Dina.Mrs. Cotton’s daughters (Bobie Russell) now calls the salon back and starts to argue with the owner Dina. Dina was very calm about the situation and never once raised her voice or got mad.I think some people just want everything free so they will lie and complain. Lying will get you no where.So I’m going to continue going to Hair Obsession and getting my hair done by Alison she dose a great job.

I have been a Hair Obsession customer for over 25 years now. I think almost everyone there has cut my hair at some point, Dina, her Mom and Dad, Alison and Jay. Now Kaitlynn handles the little hair I have left. I couldn't be happier with Dina and her team, professional, friendly and a great job every time!

Very unorganized and unprofessional business. Overwhelmed staff tossing clients into the hands of other hair dressers well the owner is getting her hair done.You cannot give feedback to the owner even if you tempt to do it politely, she talks over you with complete disregard for your awful experience. Very rude and disrespectful to clients.I do not recommend this salon. There’s 4 other salons in walking distance, I’d recommend trying those places before ever coming here!If I could do zero stars I would.ALSO, here’s an update a week later, (04/13/23)My mother is a natural dirty blonde, they TONED her hair to get rid of the orange tinge they accidentally died it….. which is completely unnecessary and their mistake!….. her hair is completely faded & isn’t even blonde anymore, she was better off getting a box dye from Walmart. What a rip off!

I recently and regularly get my hair cut from Alison. As usual she nailed it! I have gotten my hair cut at other places and then had to go Alison to fix it. I now would never go anywhere else.

Wont let me post a review unless I put at least one star. Allison did a root touch up and highlights and a haircut, my hair turned orangey and required a toner, once my color was done, hair was washed out by someone else and then dried by someone else that clearly had little or no experience as Allison tended to two other clients and when she was asked by one of them if she had time to do highlights as well, she said yes, even though I was waiting in her chair. Very disorganized Salon. I was there for almost 4 hours. The owner has very poor customer service skills and refused to listen to my concerns and constantly talked over me. Would not recommend this salon, will not return.
