Sooke Hills Wilderness Regional Park
A really easy trail, beautiful nature.Leads into a water Fall, and a suspension bridge, but the bridge was out of bounds due to risk.So I went as far as I could.Well maintained trail. Wasn't busy at all. Didn't have to travel far to get here.

The trails were mostly closed off sadly. Will definitely go back again when they open. Really beautiful and quiet

Great trail to the suspension bridge! Great starter hike for almost anyone. Came by myself today but will be bringing my kids back soon.

Great hike and well maintained trail. Currently there is a trail closure due to a landslide just past Waugh Creek Falls. I hope the CRD fixes it soon to connect the trail to the rest of the trail that goes to the suspension bridge above the goldstream falls and the Great Canadian Trail

A nice easy starter hike for my son. Some 700ft elevation after the trestle which gets the blood pumping. Trail itself is gravel and well maintained which means you can cover the distance fairly quickly. Definitely a good trail for bikes and casual walkers!

A nice challenging hike. Sadly the trail is closed at Waugh Creek Falls so you have to turnaround and walk back.

Took a shorter trail as I had to pick up my daughter from school. Enjoyed the views and the trails were well maintained. I plan on coming back and doing a longer trail next visit. From what I saw on this first visit, I would recommend it. Only drawback is that the parking lot is a bit small which would make this place a mad house in the summer months.

Amazing, less travelled path at the edge of Victoria's West Shore. This park includes the Sooke Flowline abandoned 44-kilometre concrete aquaduct that snakes through the Sooke Hilks from Sooke Lake to the Humpback Reservoir near Mt. Wells Regional Park.Fantastic, secluded old growth forest walks for all fitness levels. Great off leash hikes for dogs.

The unsanctioned trails you see on the various map apps can be extremely difficult. We had to decend some sections on all fours and I carried are old dog for most of it. Still it was a good hike and very beautiful. Just a reminder to be prepared and know it really is wilderness.
