Stradwicks Carpet One Floor & Home

Anyone renovating will attest to the fact that things don't always go smoothly. Carmen from Stradwicks has gone above and beyond to see that everything was to our ultimate satisfaction. The grout did not dry to the expected color as shown in the sample. Not Stradwicks fault but an inconsistency with the supplier. Stradwicks remedied it by applying a sealer in the perfect color. I was not thrilled with the initial caulking of one of our tiled showers and it was immediately removed and fixed. The tile we ordered was different from what the supplier shipped and the tile we had chosen was then discontinued. Carmen opened the store on a holiday so that we could make new tile choices. I have been in to Stradwicks so often that staff greet me by name. Renovations don't always go smoothly but it is how these issues are dealt with that make all the difference. I highly recommend Stradwicks!

Update:After almost a year of back and forth and promises from this company that they will come out and try and get someone to look at our floors and file something with the company due to them scratching so easily when they shouldn’t, we have yet to receive any contact for months now and are extremely disappointed with their products AND services this company provides. Maybe this company uses to do good work but I would honestly never suggest anyone to purchase flooring here.Original review:At first our experience picking out and ordering new floors for our house was good, customer service seemed to be decent. We told the guy we were working with that we needed a laminate floor that would work well with kids and dogs and wouldn’t scratch easy or ruin with water since it was also going in our kitchen. He gave us a brand that he claimed was the best with kids and dogs and that we would love, so trusting him we choose a colour we liked and waited for it to be delivered for install.After a few months of having the floor installed I’m not sure these people have any idea what they are talking about here! Our floor is terrible, any little thing scratches it ( including my sons toys which are wood) the floors always look dirty even after you wash them and really we are just not happy. When I called stradwicks to complain they basically said we can send someone out to look at them but there won’t be much we can do.Very disappointed in this company and the floor we received, now we have to live with it until we can find the money to replace, and mind you these floors were not cheap either.

If I could give a higher star rating I would! The sales staff were wonderful, delivery was on time and the guys were great!James was the sales person I worked with most and he was incredible. Everyone was fantastic even when I took over the floor space laying out many samples of tiles for kitchen and bathrooms and flooring on more than one occasion. I found their pricing, selection and product far better than anywhere else. Well done Stradwicks! This customer will be back soon.

Following some damage to my previous floors in 2020, I had the absolute pleasure of working with Carmen to find a new floor to suit my needs and aesthetic. It does not take long to see how busy Carmen and her team are - they are swamped, which speaks volumes of their work. However, there is something about their customer service that makes you feel as though you are the priority and the only customer they are working with at the time. Carmen was efficient in helping me find my new floors and she absolutely nailed it - she was patient with me throughout the entire process.Fast forward to today, Carmen and her team continue to provide top notch service. I have consistently felt like I am of highest priority during a time where I felt I wanted to give up on some of the water issues I was facing, requiring more flooring. Carmen and her team were quick to arrive and assess my situation. Donald and Gates were extremely patient and kind with me in dealing with this unexpected issue, removing flooring in a way to salvage as much of my floors as they could. Stopped by the showroom earlier today to look for carpet. It appeared that all the sales staff were busy so we wandered around to see what was available. Noticed that as sales staff were finished with customers they seemed to disappear. We were in the store for approximately 15 minutes with not one single staff person acknowledging our presence or asking us if we required assistance or had been attended to. At that point I figured if they don't want our business we'll just take it elsewhere and walked out. Went to a competitor in Callander and was greeted as we walked in the door. Sales staff there were knowledgeable, helpful and friendly so guess what? You're not getting the sale, they are.

They kept their word and made it right. We had our home restored after a fire during the initial COVID lockdowns. This made our restoration process a little bumpier than anticipated. We had some issues with our tile (manufacturer problems) and Carmen and her team went out of their way to solve our issues. Carmen was an absolute pleasure to work with and her team was skilled and knowledgeable. Despite a couple hiccups along the way, Carmen made sure that we were happy with our final product and provided us with excellent service along the way. My husband & I attended the store on Thursday, February 10, 2022 as it was the only day my husband & I had time off work together. I have made several purchases and installations with Stradwicks in the past and I was happy with the service.Initially, we startled from behind by a young person wearing a Montreal Canadiens cap, carrying a coffee and wearing a plaid jacket. We weren't certain if this person actually worked for Stradwicks due to his casual dress and unprofessional demeanor. I stated that we were looking for tiles for our fireplace update.
