Revera Carlingview Manor Long Term Care Home

While I loved my actual role there and helping the seniors this building slowly took down my confidence with coworkers that acted like a high school lunch room full of gossip and stress of disorganization like you wouldn't believe. Such a disorganized building that it's taken me 2 months of calls and emails with the head office to sort out when my last paycheck was coming only to find out the building didn't notify the proper people.

I am a retired nurse and today my mother moved in to this facility after reading such negative reviews I was worried but today was a wonderful day facility is on the older side but clean and well maintained staff are very pleasant and approachable very happy with this place will continue to review as time goes by

My mother has had many falls here, has bruises all the time, is neglected, has had UTI's. I want to move her but it will take another two to three years on a waiting list. Go any place else but here. Revera doesn't care about your loved one.

Not worth the rent I pay they would rather me loose income for 10 day not worth it

Our Relative lives in this building. I have visited many other extended care places and this is the absolute worst I have ever seen. The floor he is on is small, crowded, scruffy & lifeless. There is so much equipment lining the hallways I’m scared for the people’s safety. Dining area crowded and pathetic. I’m sure eating is the highlight of the day as there is nothing else to do! The tv is in a small room with one old couch & to watch tv you have to turn your head sideways...I challenge anyone to try this & see how your neck feels after a couple minutes. Disgusting is The only word I have for floor in tv room you’d have to see it to believe it. No person should have to live in this place. This is their home! They pay to live here. They deserve better. By the way, when you first enter building it looks lovely...don’t be deceived!! This place is also a for profit business!

Don't leave your loved ones here. They will steal from them and not give them proper care. This place needs to be demolished so no one can be admitted here anymore.

My grandmother has been here for 9 months, in those nine months, she has had 4 falls. I contacted the Ministry of Long Term Care to find out the reason for these falls, and it came back that 3 out of 4 of them were Carlingview's fault. There were 4 issues of non compliance to her care. I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere as when I spoke to the director of care, her response to my inquiry about what seems to be a lack of care for what my grandmothers needs were (she has progressive dementia) was I have 537 patients here". I am certain that there are more capable homes in the immediate area than this one."

Update Dec 30th. Mom has lived at carlingview for 4 months now and is enjoying every day. The staff are so caring, she loves them and they love her. So many activities, like bingo, to keep her active. She has made good friends and loves her weekly outings with my sister. The doctor has adjusted her meds, lots of physical therapy. Thank you to stafffor doing what the family has been unable to.Mom moved in a couple of weeks ag3o and lovesit. Her room is spacious, sunny and very clrean. There's a dining room on every floor, a chapel and many activities to do. The staff are professional and very kind and courteous. I know this home had it very rough during the first few months of the pandemic. It's not like that now

The level of care here is terrible. Although it seemed a lot better than the hospital when she first arrived, looks were deceiving. My mother has very limited income and was at this facility to convalesce with two broken arms. They had her wearing diapers instead of assisting her to use the toilet. Her personal belongings were stolen more than once and she repeatedly had strange men coming into her room which made her uncomfortable. The place was filthy with food on the floor and cockroaches. She left prematurely to live at home despite being unable to care for herself adequately because it was so bad. We would not wish this place on anyone.

Does anyone know a place to stay for 15 days for my wife to assist her mother in Carlingview? We live in NYC and she wants to be with her mom.
