The Home Depot

Shopped at Home Depot after we had two old kitchen appliances fail in 2 days. Prices with Black Friday deals were better than anywhere else. Home Depot sales and customer service representatives were great. They went out of their way to help us save money. We had a glitch with one of the locally contracted delivery teams which resulted in being with a stove for an extra week but we recognize that this was not the fault of Home Depot. Overall, very pleased with the purchase experience!

The delivery experience fro this location is horrendous. On multiple occasions now they have shown up and left large heavy items in my driveway without any communication. This is problematic for a number of reasons.Is it really so hard to call ahead and schedule your deliveries? I know you have delivery dates on your site. BUT they don't get updated. My most recent order was supposed to be here over 1 month ago and then out of the blue it shows up today and is left out in the rain on my driveway. VERY COOL. Really appreciate the effort you baboons put in.

Very helpful staff. Also they get paint ready on spot. At times low on inventory but staff helps you in finding the same product online or at other locations.

My experience at this Ottawa location was great. I went in the store late at night and it was close to the closing time. The staff helped me picked out the right solar flood lights patiently. Staff TJ #27 especially knowledgeable about the lights and light bulbs and he knows all about it! It made everything so much easier when he could just show me the right ones with the right price. The store is so futunate to have such experienced staff like him. Will go back for sure.

UPDATE: went back to the location, the difference was night and day. The customer service was was awesome. Friendly and the cashiers at self checkout were great. Bumped my rating up to reflect this.Pretty bad when you come in asking for a tool and nobody knows if they have them. Or if they do where to find it. Staff seemed more interested in talking than helping me out. Kept sending me back and forth. Really no help at all. Even cashed myself out, nobody around self serve.

Lots of good products. Generally speaking fair prices. Unfortunately the store itself felt very crowded. The attached photo is just one example of what I mean by crowded." Many of the aisles were full of carts

This is a huge shout out to B who provided outstanding service when we rented a vehicle. What could have been a very frustrating experience with an unreliable reservation system was saved by his composure and friendly and kind demeanour that he maintained with both co-workers and customers. Home Depot…you are fortunate to have an employee like B representing your company to the public.Many many thanks B! We intend to pay it forward.

I came to this store on Saturday looking to rent an automatic compactor tool. They were booked out. I asked when the next one was due back. The person working the desk said next day at 12:30pm.I asked if I could reserve it. They said no (that was it. Just no. No further info/help given). At this point I would like to mention that you CAN reserve tools. But you have to book them online (but not for same day). I was NEVER told about the online booking for tools.Today I called 3 different times over a span of 1 hour and after being bounced around got hung up on each time without actually talking to anyone. Calling in is when I learned about the online booking from the automatic prompts.I came to the store (from 12-1) to see if the tool came back on time. I found out there are no late fees for a tool that doesn't return on time. You just get charged how long you use it. So there was a minimal chance this tool would have returned.The associate who spoke to me yesterday has no concept of customer service as I could have been easily directed online for booking AND they could have informed me that there was a low chance in the tool be returned on time.I wasted a lot of time here thanks to someone who, with some simple scripting, could have delivered great service. Instead I am frustrated with lots of time wasted. Great work Home Depot.

We had a item that was places on hold for use to use over Canada day and when I called in to make use that the item was going to be there, they turned around and said that it was going to be candled where I never said this and the staff was very rude to myself and my other half when he called up.This is a joke , when a person calls up to make sure the items will be there be nice on the phone and don't be rude to the calls.
