I've always had good experiences at the Finishing Store (picking up various materials) so when it was time to get some new floors installed in my home, the choice was obvious. Kelly did a wonderful job on the first site visit, and the installation was scheduled hassle free (working with Bernie at the store). When the installers arrived (Calvin and co.) there were a couple of unforeseen issues, but these were quickly attended to by the team and the job proceeded to my great satisfaction. I can strongly recommend the Finishing Store for all your millwork and flooring needs!

What a gratifying experience I had a day ago when I visited this store.!!I was greeted by a salesman who asked me if needed help, but not only that; he also suggested a different store when he was unable to supply what I needed. I believe his name was Jack [or James????] and he is the store manager.I don’t mind paying a little extra in this or in any other business, as long as I get good, reliable, knowledgeable and prompt service.This local, Canadaian business has CERTAINLY grabbed my attention and gained my respect thanks to this great customer service.

I've used this store twice now for wood refinishing projects that I spent some significant time on and wanted to finish off right.Both times the staff were helpful to point me in the right direction for type of product to use to finish off my project.They have lots of cool stuff for all sorts of projects.

Great place to go if you want the sales people to completely ignore you, and then act like you're a huge inconvenience when you're just making a simple purchase. Went there to buy floor glue for my boss, had never been before and could've used help ensuring I was getting the correct one, also could've used less attitude from the guy at the till and for him to not completely ignore me when I said there was an account it needed to go under so the receipt would have the business name on it. I told my employer we should try and grab supplies elsewhere, he agreed since in his words yeah I hate going there they have horrible customer service""

A huge shout out to Ron who was extremely helpful, professional and knowledgeable! He went above and beyond and as a result we quickly ordered our hardwood floors! Thanks to him we saved a ton of time and had the answers we needed immediately!

To the Friendly, Knowledgeable Staff at The Finishing Store, Thank you!I was recently in the market for interior doors. I had many questions and had no idea I had so many different options. I didn't even know where to start. My salesman explained all my different choices and options. He made me aware of ordering doors and timing of the delivery. I was able to take the information and even some advice he gave me to think about which doors would be best suited for my house. With each question I had, I was able to make a phone call or send an email and my questions were promptly answered, which made the process super quick and easy.My salesman was very knowledgeable and I was able to make a confident decision in choosing the right doors for my new house, the doors even arrived before expected.I couldn't have asked for better service and I look forward to shopping at The Finishing Store for my future housing needs and supplies.Thank You, Chelsea Burch

UPDATED REVIEW.After seeing The Finishing Store's response to my concerns and appreciating whole heatedly when businesses do the right thing in the face of a failure. I have adjusted my review's rating to five stars to meet the level of service consistent with the latest interactions I've had with the Store's Ownership/Management.Sincerely,Thank you for your resolution.I went into the Victoria store on Thursday of last week. The woman behind the counter that helped" me described details about a product that was out of stock in Victoria and required transfer from another store. In that moment I asked if I could have products shipped direct and was told that it wouldn't work that way. I was told that they have a truck coming on the upcoming Tuesday (today) and the product would be included. This morning - early - I called the store to confirm that the product did in fact get on the truck and would arrive today and was told again that it would be coming today (Tuesday). Now at 2:15 I have called again to learn that in fact there is no truck coming today and that the truck was never expected today. I now will be waiting two more days and will hold my breath to see if the product arrives.The product is only available at the finishing store (and I buy from them specifically to promote local businesses). I will now be buying online and not returning to the finishing store. The service seems deceptive and confusing. I'm very disappointed with my service as I'm an industry professional and not just a one time client although this is likely my last time.My advice is to look around locally if you can buy at your products at another store

We just had The Finishing Store provide and install our floors, baseboards and casings and they did an amazing job! The staff are so knowledgeable and the store has everything you could possibly need. The installers are very professional - Calvin & his team were great. George was so helpful and accommodating with scheduling our install. Norm coordinated delivery and it all went so smoothly. We had such a positive experience from start to finish. I can’t say enough good things about The Finishing Store. I would definitely use them again.

We went shopping for some wood. Bought 3 pieces and walked out $750 poorer. Wow. Nice selection and nice staff.
