Prices are good but they don't have time to talk to you on the phone you have to know exactly what you want and email it to them and wait and sometimes hear back from them and sometimes they just don't call you back at all or you can just drive over to rona who has pretty good prices and they actually have time for you and uou can get what you need right away ...

Used to think this place was great, and would have been five stars. However, last week I placed an order for lumber, and I had to make some modifications because they didn't have the lumber in stock.Then they went and sold what I paid for, that was in stock, and all they can say is talk to the foreman." They can't explain why they oversold stock.While they continued to explain that they were expecting a shipment

We used these guys to build our fence. The workers who showed up had really horrible work ethics and did a really bad job. I was not happy at all with their work so much so that I don't even want them back to fix the mess they did.If i were you I'd definitely think twice before using them. Totally unsatisfied with their work!!! Stay away from them.

Very disapointed this year, service in the building his the worst I never see. Why should I buy local when those people didn't whant to work. 3 bad service in row. I'm done!I dont recommand anymore.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Wood was far far far above recommended moisture content. Thousands spent on wood which I feel like re-doing now because it's all cracked to hell. My 4x4's look like chopped firewood they're so split.

Excellent customer service. I had an idea of what I wanted to do and their staff was able to help with the details I had missed and correct issues I had with my plan.This extra mile" also saved me about $300 that I didn't need to spend and solved a potential structural issue.This is my new home for any DIY tools

Don't listen to anything anyone there tells you. We went and told them we needed insulation for the basement and they sold us R15 insulation. Code requires a minimum of R20. Thanks for selling us the wrong stuff!

It’s funny that the website advertises the staff as “individuals who look forward to helping you with your plans and projects” when they can’t be bothered to walk out from behind their computers to offer any kind of assistance. Perhaps it would have been different if we hadn’t greeted them in English? Looking forward to taking our business elsewhere.

Great service by Rej Brabant. Called Bytown for information on deck stain. He recommended a product. I did some research on the web and was impressed with the recommendation he had provided. Called back and spoke with Rej, he told me he would put 5 gallons aside for me. When I arrived all was ready... The paperwork was all done and my 5 gallons were in a basket at the front and everything was ready to go. Thanks so much Rej for the great advice and service. Well done

Decent wood for construction based projects with fair prices. Not good for crafty wood projects like carving or turning or anything that requires high quality lumber.
