Days Inn by Wyndham Calgary Airport

4pm.checkin ..sucks. pool and hot tub not open till 9am..no-good for early risers..finding out there is no room cleaning done daily..huge disappointment for what they charge here. Hallway smells like cigarettes..Kids running the halls screaming ..not hotel fault..but would be nice if they managed the noise better... front staff was a very nice man

Excellent service. Impeccable facility. Room was extremely clean and comfortable. It is a little far from the airport and although there is shuttle service, it is not free. A cab or uber is going to add $52 (plus tips) to your stay. This may be an important consideration if you are a senior on a budget such as I am.

I stay here often as I am in Calgary frequently for business. All the staff are extremely polite and welcoming. There is always hot food for breakfast (oatmeal, eggs, sausage and hash browns). Assortment of other breakfast items as well (bread, cereal, English muffins, fruit and yogurt). The rooms are always spotless on arrival. One employee, Roy, stands out above the rest. He always greets you with a smile. He has taken time to get to know me as I'm sure he does with all the regulars". He now greets me by name and is always asking how my family is doing. I will only stay here in the future when in Calgary."

My detailed review- It's adequate. Some pros, some cons. Had to wait several minutes before someone was at the counter to check in, but there was at least a sign indicating they would be right back, I didn't catch the name of the clerk but he was pleasant. He seemed quite confused though when I did not have a credit card to secure the room (I pre paid online with my visa debit for the room so I'm unsure why I was charged an extra $300 deposit in the first place..) but the clerk is likely following policy set by Wyndham so I wasn't about to argue, maybe I missed something when reading the booking conditions. On a positive note, once in my room I was pleasantly surprised with the size- it was quite large for a standard room and it was clean, bed was comfortable with clean sheets, air conditioning unit worked well. I do also like that you can open the window to let some fresh air in. With that being said, it looks like they have been renovating and replacing furniture but stopped halfway through. The sink and counter in the bathroom looked brand new, yet the shower/tub and toilet looked dated. The rooms also have extremely poor (if any) sound proofing. I was on the 3rd floor and I could hear everything going on outside my room, and I could hear every single footstep being made in the room above me. Location is good, close to airport, highway access, food, gas. Overall, good choice for a low cost option for one or two nights, but if you are booking a longer stay I would say keep your options open.

The night audit guy was absolutely amazing!Lost a star due to the fact I had messaged for an item and it never came we got it from housekeeping a day later and then when I asked for an extra pillow after having neck surgery the gentleman said he would go look but whe. I came down again 4 hours later he was just chilling on his phone. So on just left it alone, I wasn't about to ask again. Other than that everything was great.

Biggest con would be when this hotel is busy and there's only the one elevator, you can be waiting a while. Lucky to have been only on second floor and by the stairwell.Sufficient breakfast. Rooms are nice and clean, pretty standard issue Days Inn. Had tag saying enjoy these robes during your stay ..... but no robes.Parking lot is small for as busy thr hotel is, can see this being problematic in the winter with added issue of snowbanks.

Clean rooms. Pretty new. Good breakfast.Odd situation in the pool. They were giving swim classes while guests were in the pool. We felt like we had to give room for them, and we left the pool earlier than we would have liked.

We stayed here in the middle of a road trip, booked it because of the water slide and pool. My young kids had a great time and the staff here is incredibly friendly. Even let us check in at 11 am which is quite early for an early check in. They offered free cookies and were really accommodating. The breakfast in the morning was the best continental I've had. The pancake machine is great and it was just a really good way to get started before heading back out on the road.I will say tho, that water slide is ridiculous. It's pitch black and you pull about 3 g's going down it and it shoots you down into the pool so hard that you can barely tell up from down. My daughter was terrified after going on it. And when an adult goes down the force they hit the water with legit makes the entire pool area overflow. We referred to it after as the terror slide. So anyway, the otherwise super kid friendly atmosphere might lead you to believe that the slide is also for kids, but please be careful. And hold onto your butts.Other than that near death experience, this is a great hotel.

The only good thing to say is the room was clean and fresh and the desk clerk was nice (when he was there) The toilet seat was broken and just sitting on top of the toilet, the toilet drips and runs water all the time, and the toilet paper is equal to what you would find in a port o potty! I was in a room next to a family that sounded like they were living in an apartment building. Kids running and pounding and yelling and the father yelling and screaming at them. I tried calling down to the front desk twice at 12am and 12:20 and no one answered. It didn't stop until almost 1am and started again at 5. Worst stay I have ever had at a hotel!!!!!! Will not be back.
