Suburban Paws Canine Training and Enrichment Centre

It’s been six months since we worked with Kim and our relationship with our dog has never been better. We learned so much about body language, communication and compassion through working with Suburban Paws and we are better able to be the advocate our reactive dog needs to make it in this very stressful world. My initial review is below and I continue to stand by it 100%:We love working with Kim, and so does our dog. Having a reactive dog can be stressful and overwhelming, and we came to Kim feeling deflated by previous dog training experiences elsewhere. Kim bolstered our confidence, helped us to pay closer attention to our dog’s needs and cues, and has helped us to improve our relationship with our dog tremendously. Our dog has never been so relaxed and happy on her walks!Kim herself has a relaxed and calming presence and is so easy to work with. We were looking for a certified trainer and not only is Kim certified, she is also dedicated to continued education and development. We will certainly be turning to Kim for any future training with our current dog and any future pups.The store is lovely too, with many resources (puzzle toys, books, treats, etc). Absolutely worth a visit even if you are not seeking training.13/10 highly recommended!

I am so lucky to have found Kim to support me in building my dog Banksy’s confidence, but also my own! Banksy is super reactive and I felt very overwhelmed with her anxious behaviour - Kim taught me such helpful strategies and has been a great support along the way. She has always been a strong advocate for my dog and I am so appreciative for all the work and dedication you put in to help build my relationship with Banksy ☺️ she has come such a long way!!

Bringing my dog to Kim was the best decision I ever made! I have a pup who was incredibly reactive and possessive. He would lunge and bite if he had something he thought was high value.Kim was able to come into and explain everything to us in a way we understood. She taught us different approaches to make sure both Opie and us were happy.Opie now no longer reacts like he used to and is living his best life with less anxiety!!

Kim has continued to support my understanding and relationship with my dog. Because of her I am developing a better understanding the dog I have and how best to meet her needs. Kim has supported me in understanding that my dog struggles with fear based reactivity and anxiety but this does not define who she is. Kim has a wealth of knowledge, and is an incredible dog whisperer! Her gift of understanding a dogs needs and being able to explain and train the dog guardian is nothing less than amazing. And my dog LOVES her! I would highly recommend Kim to anyone who wants to truly understand their dog, and build a positive and confident relationship with them!

Kim is an excellent trainer with empathy. She helps you understand your dog and will go above and beyond to help.She loves her job and it shows when she is training and helping her clients. Very happy to have found her!

Kim is extremely knowledgeable and professional. She is truly one of the best! Her training is amazing, easy to learn and extremely knowledgeable and takes pride in that and the dogs gravitate to her positive energy! This is an overdue review !Bronco attended daycare at Suburban Paws !Kim and her team were great !Unfortunately my baby was not meant to be in Daycare (some dogs aren't and Bronco was one of them) and that's not Suburbans fault.They loved Bronco - gave him extra attention; which was greatly appreciated.I had an honest conversation with Kim about his needs and greatly appreciated her honesty.Please do not hesitate to check out this Daycare!Thank you Kim & her wonderful team.

Our first dog Luna was like having a car but not knowing how to drive. I found Kim’s contact online without having a clue what to expect or what questions to ask and we were so lucky we found her. She taught us the basics, she taught us to socialize our puppy and to be patient. She taught us to observe our dog so our dog is comfortable. We went from a shy timid puppy to a confident adult dog. 2 years later we can’t say Kim’s name without our dog running to the door. She’s been a blessing that I recommend to anyone.
