Front Porch Southern Kitchen and Blues Joint
Travelled from Toronto to eat here and it was worth the trip. We started with appetizers to share: catfish nuggets, blackened shrimps and hush puppies. All were a hit! For mains, we ordered from their Meat & Three Ya'll section, you choose a meat and 3 sides. The beef brisket was so flavourful and tender. Fried chicken is the best, the batter is delicious. All the sides were great, especially the grilled corn and mashed potatoes. Only the collard greens were too salty. The service was exceptional, all 3 servers were polite and accommodating. Will have to go again and try their Creole boil.

Great experience! Our group went for one of the afternoon live music events featuring the High Banks Band. Music was fun and entertaining, service was good and the food was excellent - fried chicken, roasted potatoes, fresh creamy coleslaw, biscuits and gravy that was scrumptious followed by a brownie and cookie with some great coffee! Cocktails were also good - Bloody Mary's were zingy and there was a lemon rosemary gin fizz at our table that was yummy!

We stopped at the Front Porch Southern Kitchen restaurant for dinner on our way back from Long Point park. We got a table on the terrace as the weather was still pretty mild (watch for bugs!). The menu was interesting with southern US dishes. My girlfriend had a Grapefruit Paloma Tequila (on picture) which she really enjoyed and I got the Black Coal Stout which I equally liked. We got the catfish nuggets" as an appetizer

I LOVE this hidden little gem! We ate there for the first time last night and it was amazing! Service was a little slow but in all fairness, it was jammed packed! We can’t stop talking about their food. It was soooooooo good! The Mac n Cheese is to die for. I’m in love with this place! The food, the people, the atmosphere, just absolutely amazing. It’s safe to say, this is now my favourite restaurant ever!!!! It does not disappoint. If you have not been yet, what are you waiting for? Do it now. Definitely make a reservation so you’re not disappointed when you get there. They are super busy.

Enjoyed the blackened catfish with grits, coleslaw and baked beans, added a corn bread muffin. Sipped on a Sazerac and enjoyed the lemon ice box pie for dessert.Everything was perfect. The food melted in my mouth and was seasoned perfectly. The customer service was outstanding and the atmosphere of the restaurant is fun, quirky and definitely southern.I absolutely loved it and will return.

My Fiancé and I went here today for lunch. Its hard to describe how AMAZING this restaurant was! I got the Beef brisket sandwhich and my Fiancé got the fried chicken sandwhich. both dishes were perfection. The brisket literally fell apart with amazing seasoning. The chicken was perfectly battered and was probably the most juiciest chicken weve ever had. The staff's hospitality was textbook. The whole atmosphere was what you'd expect from a southern BBQ restaurant. Again absolute PERFECTION! we will definitely recommend coming here to our friends and anyone that wants to eat the best food they will ever eat. thank you so much!

Came in for my first time tonight to finally have some southern bbq I have been hearing so much about.The over all experience, cost, portion size, quality and service are worth every penny we spent tonight. Our server was amazing. For our first experience there.We started with appetizers(I had the wings) a friend had the popcorn chicken. The dusted jumbo wing are amazing. The southern fried style chicken wing was on point. It was crispy outside tender and juicy inside. I will stake the claim here and now. This is THE BEST chicken wing in Norfolk county.Between 4 of us we got two orders of Chicken Fried Steak, fried chicken(Meat and three) choose a protein and 3 sides. Brisket(Meat and Three). I have never had chicken fried steak before. I now want chicken fried steak more. If you have never experience chicken fried steak before. Fix that and make sure you go here for your first experience. The smoked brisket was on point. It had a great smoked flavour with a really nice bbq sauce. The southern fried chicken has an amazing seasoning(same seasoning as the popcorn chicken as well) the remoulade sauce served with both fried chicken orders is awesome. The Mac n cheese is rich and creamy. The hush puppies and buttermilk biscuit need special mentions. Hush puppies were so good you didn't hear anyone talking. The biscuit was so thick and good. I wanted a couple more with the sausage gravy. The peach cobbler was only had by one of us and he enjoyed it very much so.I highly recommend booking a reservation as this place fills up quick. Also don't expect fast table service. This food is made right to order(for the most part) it will take some time for it to be cooked. But the quality and portions make every minute you wait worth the wait. You can't rush this level of quality.We spent around $60 per person(only one of us got one alcoholic beverage) We all got an appetizer and main and only 1 desert.
