Hillcrest Aquatic Centre

Embarrassingly, this is the only modern swimming facility in Vancouver that can in any way compete with the suburbs. The problem is that they rent out about half the lanes of the public pool to private functions (or swim lessons) from 4pm-7pmish, which is when 90% of working adults would want to use it after a 9-5 day. The faculty is nice, but a 'world class' city like Vancouver is being woefully under served, and I felt totally ripped off.

Co-ed changing rooms are unclean, including all kinds of food waste, fruit peel black hair, empty containers, graffiti and worst is used diapers that mommy doesn't want to take home. The occasional backing paper, peeled off female pads and stuck on the cubicle walls! Floors need hosing down through the day. People are disgusting, there needs to be an adult only day so I can have a normal swim without the family filth.

A great aquatic centre for the whole family! Practice lanes for swimming lengths, deep pool for diving. Shallow pool for kids.A fun lazy river we spent hours in and a huge hot tub. My kids also enjoyed the steam room and sauna.Bathrooms and family style change rooms were clean but no hair drying facilities unfortunately , so bring your own of you want to dry off before heading out.We put our valuables in a small self-locking storage box. Bring your own lock for leaving clothes and bags etc for the lockers in the change rooms.Parking for cars can sometimes be scarce so we’ve used the local buses. Very convenient bus stop right outside the facility.A snack bar, gym, library and ice-rink all conveniently attached to this centre.

Great centre with several pools, a well equipped gym as well as dry sauna and steam room. While the facility is modern - I wasn't particularly impressed with the level of cleanness of the place especially the dressing rooms. The floors in particular can definitely use more frequent cleanings.

First time I visited here and I was very impressed. There is a large parking lot with free parking for two hours. Entrance to the pool cost $4 per person. The pool area is equipped with chairs, wetsuits and pool toys for children. There are several swimming pools, including a heated jacuzzi pool. The place is clean and organized. Neat wardrobes with hair drying facilities. Highly recommended.

Perfect place for kids and adults , so much fun , clean and safe .

I was there with my family today morning. Feel good, though there were more people than normal weekday. Since it is a summer holiday after Canada Day, lots of families, lots of children, lots of smiles, lots of voices, lots of good relationship, ...Also, normally I seldom not leaving at 11, so I had a chance to try the outdoor pool. Also feel good under bright sunshine. It is a nice place with shallow water to play with.

Thus is an awesome pool. My kids love it and there's something for everyone. The family shower stalls are hard to come by and the place can get busy. One of our favorite family fun day spots....

Great pool and amenities. The water temperature is great, and they have a wading pool, lazy river, hot tub, wet and dry sauna, swimming lanes, diving boards, etc. Very popular and always busy, but nevertheless a great place to take your kid regardless of the season.

First time here with my kiddo and I am beyond impressed with the facility and staff. This place is beautiful and offers comfortable seating, ample parking spaces, and there's even a designated stroller parking inside.There's a café, skating rink, aqua centre, fitness centre, curling and library all in the same building. Talk about convenience!
