We purchased our first ever Electrolux product from Arnies Appliances in Deseronto. It came with a warranty which was still in effect when our ‘new’ dryer broke down before Christmas. We called for repair and were advised that a local repair company would be over to assess and service the dryer. The assessment took place the 2nd week of January - which left our family of 5 without a dryer at this point for 3 weeks. We were then told the dryer part would be in Jan 28. That day came and went and we emailed Electrolux multiple times asking for a date we could expect the part to be shipped. No reply. We were spending $50-$75 a week doing laundry as 3 of the 5 people in the house work in the trades and there’s a lot of laundry. Beginning of Feb- still no part and we had requested the warranty Managers name and email at least 7 times and we were never given it. 5 different people were replying to my emails but not offering any solutions. We were now 6.5 weeks without a dryer. We went back to Arnies for assistance but their hands were tied with the manufacture warranty. We were told The part was due to arrive Feb 5th now... and that day came and went. We were up to $400 in laundromat fees and finally the part arrived - only to be told it would be a week before the gas installer could come. Our dryer - new dryer - under warranty was just fixed Feb 17.8 weeks waiting for service on a new dryer.The service was brutal and no one was accountable for our experience and our expenses.I will never own a Electrolux again. I wouldn’t recommend buying one because you will not get service or support. I have records of the calls we made - the emails we sent and the little to no action given to our situation.This was a NEW product and we bought ‘locally owned’.All I can say is stick with your G.E or Whirlpool ... anything but Electrolux. The service and quality was disgusting!
