I brought in a 2012 Mac Book Pro that was stuck attempting to install a newer OS, which was not compatible with my Mac Book. It was not allowing me to exit the install wizard. Before contacting the apple store, I visited this location for support from Geek Squad. The Clerk was not polite, and had their back turned away from me 80% of the time to talk with their coworker. Once they booted up my computer to review the computer's issue, without running *any* diagnostics whatsoever, they told me it would cost $190.00 to repair. They explained my computer was too old to use the OS I had attempted to install. I asked him if he thought it was worth the repair, and he suggested I buy a new Mac (Which by the way cost at least $1,100 CAD).I contacted the apple store, and they brought me into the Genius Bar. They repaired my computer to the newest software available for my computer and now it works great.

This is just so stupid. I had my macbook setup by them and it took them more almost 2 days to do it. And now when i got my pc they've put a password in it and didnt even bother to tell me the password. Isn't that just dumb? So now i tried to contact the main office they answered and just sent me to another automated voicemail and hung up. Please if ever you're thinking of getting this. Just save your money.

I paid my protection plan for almost 2 years and when my phone needs repair, it’s so hassle to claim. If I have replacement still I need to pay a couple hundred plus tax. The associate who answered my call is not friendly, cannot explain the policy clearly and so poor in customer service. So disappointed !

Good luck making a warranty claim. After being turned away from a Best Buy store and told to call Geek Squad directly to make a claim, and numerous back and forth communication both over the phone and using their chat function, I still don't have the shipping labels required to send out the defective device so that they can take 2-3 weeks to process and give me the credit. Can't bring it in store either since apparently there are different types of warranty's and no one told me that I would have to go through this very tedious process of making a claim with the one I purchased. Even after what feels like my 50th contact with Geek Squad I still don't have a shipping label and I have to wait another 2 days for them to refile the claim.I suggest just avoiding Best Buy all together and taking your business elsewhere.Try Memory Express, their staff seem a lot more knowledgeable. Never had to make a warranty clam through them but I doubt their process is this frustrating.

it is very difficult dealing with these people. They do not appear to understand simple questions or requests... they just keep parrotting the same info over and over ad nauseum...I am extremely unhappy because I did not receive a useful answer to my question.

My husband put on geek squad protection on his new phone best buy let him know to he could cancel it at any time. I called and used there call back option and received a call back a day latter I talked to someone and they said no has to be canceled the day of the contract goes into effect. I called back the day they suggested and they said hold time was 7 minutes. I sat on on hold for 45 minutes and was hung up on.

The worst services ever..when they sell you the product their policies are in your favor and when you put a claim on the items they will send you a long disclosure which states that we were fools buying that warranty..geek squad never comes in person to have a look at the damage.They harass you by just using the disclosure as their weapon.Please have some ethics geek squad..You guys are snatching our hard earned money.I am highly disappointed by the best buy and their geek squad.

DESPITE MY REPEATED ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT GEEK SQUAD, THEY WON'T STOP CHARGING MY CREDIT CARD, NOW, FOR $60/MONTH, DESPITE MY CONTRACT WITH THEM BEING UP IN OCTOBER, 2022! DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO THIS SERVICE! THESE PEOPLE ARE LAZY AND DO NOT FULFILL THE SERVICES TO WHICH THEY PROMISE WHEN THEY SELL THEIR PRODUCTS!I got Geek Squad when I bought my laptop from Best Buy over four years ago. They told me that if I had any problems with my laptop, I could just bring it in and they'd fix it on the spot or they'd replace it with a new laptop. When the keyboard broke in June, I took it in to be fixed, and they told me they'd have to send it away, which would take at least two weeks to be fixed. I told them that was unacceptable to me, since that's not what I'd signed up for. They finally agreed to give me a new laptop, as long as I PAID the difference from what I'd paid for my original laptop (again; not what was in the contract I'd signed). They then told me that, for the remainder of my contract, to transfer the Geek Squad membership to the new computer, I'd have to swipe my Mastercard. But, despite my repeated attempts contacting them, they've continued to charge me monthly, NOT ONLY for my NEW COMPUTER, but, also for my OLD ONE, which THEY TOOK POSSESSION OF, IN JUNE, and have refurbished, and SOLD! I keep contacting them, and they say, Well

I gave a system for repair. they upgraded the Hard drive but did not install the required drives for the camera. when i went back to them they are asking for more money. Absurd services and ridiculous explanations. Now they are asking me to take up a membership for 140 for year to rectify the problem they created. These guys are total failure and it is no wonder with the type of services they are shutting down one branch after another.
