Canadian Barista Institute - Calgary Lab

I took the barista training levels 1-4 all in one weekend. It was a great experience overall. I will be applying some of the great information I learned here when training staff in our establishment. I had been waiting to take these courses for a while, so glad I finally did. Highly recommend.

My experience in both the business and barista training was fantastic all around. Professional, knowledgeable and fun I came away with a new appreciation and foundation of a diverse skill set to build on. Jamie was extremely patient answering all of my questions and provided exceptional feedback and advice. I would strongly recommend training through The Canadian Barista Institute and plan to attend future training opportunities.

Amazing instructors!! What I love the most is that they believe in building a lifelong relationship. They will help anytime whether you have questions about coffee or sourcing equipment.

I learn by doing, so I really appreciated how hands on this training was. We had plenty of time to put our learning into action, and I really valued that. Would recommend!

Great intro and Calvin was very knowledgeable. Admittedly we were actually geared for a level 1 class, but still a good class with good discussion. Recommended.

I was able to take the roasting course in Vancouver with Les and then we both were able to take the Barista course in Calgary with Jamie.Both were great experiences. The instructors are not only knowledgeable and supportive; but they give real world scenarios of what you may be facing in the coffee industry. Jamie & Matt run a great course and have all of the knowledge and experience to back it up. This course is great for everyone from all backgrounds - Current business owners, prospective business owners and coffee enthusiasts. The course is very thourough with practical and theoretical concepts. I myself come from a strong coffee background but found new (unbiased) information, knowledge and practical skills that can be immediately applied in any situation. (At home or in a cafe).I recommend this course for anyone who has a love for coffee!

very educational and broken down into theory and hands on which i find it a great way to learn. you learn great fundamentals and can become a coffee connoisseur within 48 hours.

We had the best 2 days Barista Level 1-4 training class! A great blend of theory and incredible amount of hands-on practical training. Jamie is a true Yoda (Star Wars) , source of excellent knowledge and experience about coffee , delivered in a very supportive, energetic, friendly and engaging way. Jamie's passion of sharing his expertise and goal of inspiring us in our journey is indeed admirable! Thankful to Les for putting this very efficient and thorough course content.We can't stress enough how beneficial this learning experience for us in our journey to coffee business.
