Mt Pleasant View Point

Nice place to enjoy the view over downtown Calgary and Bow river especially at sunset. Dog park nearby always fun to watch...

Mt Pleasant View Point is one of my favorite viewing platforms. It itself is part of the rotary park. Regarding the history of the lion in the photo, this stone lion was designed by sculptor James L. Thompson and installed on the bridge head of Central Street in 1917. Due to years of sun and rain, these lions were damaged to varying degrees and were removed in 1999 for repairs. However, only one lion was restored. Using this restored lion statue as its mother base, four more statues were made in 2000 and put back on the bridgehead of Central Street. This lion should also be one of the previously restored lion statues.

Very nice park to chill and have a nice view of downtown Calgary.

Perfect spot to see the Calgary downtown sky view. Had to wait for night time to appreciate the view of downtown Calgary. Got some good photos and was absolutely satisfied with the experience.

If you want to take a great photo of Downtown Calgary or just want to enjoy the view, make your way to this location. I'm shocked this spot is not crawling with tourists as it truly is the best spot in the city to oversee the entire downtown development.

A must-see spot at sunset. But pack your mosquito repellent if you're visiting in the summer at dusk. The sight is gorgeous and it's absolutely worth the visit.
