Shaughnessy Park
This oval park is located amid of Shaughnessy's curving roads and picturesque landscape. With its outstanding collection of trees and quiet location, this is a peaceful place to enjoy the morning paper or an evening stroll. The park was named for Sir Thomas Shaughnessy, later Lord Shaughnessy, the former president of the Canadian Pacific Railway who was responsible for the subdivision of the area now known as the Shaughnessy neighbourhood.

Unique specimen trees, people using the space are not always friendly about those lingering in the park

Some very old trees and classic mansions of the elite. It is called The Cresent that goes in a perfect circle one way around the park. It is not really much of a park to visit. It is more of a glorified bulivard, which gives a heart to Shaughnessy if not the city.

Has a few benches but no other park amenities. Otherwise a very quiet peaceful area away from Granville street.

I mean, it's a park" in the middle of a traffic circle. It's well-kept and very nicely laid out

The Crescent. Beautiful little park for a quick stop and stroll. The trees are majestic. Many unique. The Japanese Snowbell, if you find it, is great. Benches. No Washrooms. And the trees were very dry after 65+ days without rain. Beautiful surrounding streets and grand homes are always interesting to explore. Vancouver history.

I don't want to tell you about this place cause it's a real hidden gem in the city. So many tree varietals surrounded by a quiet one way circular street. Heat reprieve in the summer and rain reprieve in the winter.

Shaughnessy Park is such a lovely place to sit down and have a rest or read a book. Or, visit with family and friends - such a quiet and beautiful neighbourhood.
