communication could of been worse but shouldn't have been much better!

I am a local contractor in the town of Hope.A customer of Starline (Who will remain anonymous for this story) recently contracted me to fix a problem in their kitchen that was a result of the work done by Starline.I was happy to take on the project. But was instructed to bill Starline directly.When the work was completed. The customer was extremely pleased by the quality of the workmanship.So I sent my bill off to Starline.After waiting two weeks for payment. I kindly asked Starline via email when they intend to settle up the invoice. I was simply told ;We are awaiting payment from (anonymous) . As soon as we get that we will send a cheque. Thanks for your understanding."I found it very unprofessional and unethical of Starline to place me in such a predicament. And to attempt to use me as leverage to force the customer to pay up while I wait empty handed
