Ontree

I’ve been using Ontree since about 2005 as a result of highly positive reviews and being a little better on the pocket book compared to the other highly rated tree services. Since then I’ve had them come by to trim my small and large trees and cabling two large trees where large secondary stems were angled towards my two neighbours homes. Jody has come by each time and looks over the proposed work and provides a written quote.Yesterday I had Ontree over again to fell a large tree with worrisome long cracks in the stem and trim my other trees and neighbour’s tree over my property. John, Morgan, Justin and Devin arrived and worked safely and deligently. As a bonus, they were all so kind. Consistently amazing staff at Ontree. Excellent arborist assessment and recommendations. Crew was highly experienced and professional. Better pricing than most competitors but scheduling can be a challenge as they are very busy during the peak season.

In April I contacted them because I have a tree I need to have removed. I wanted an Arborist report because the city requires one to remove a tree. They gave me an estimate for the tree removal that included the cost of the Arborist report near the bottom (even though it is the first step that must be taken). I paid to have the Arborist report done in July. They still have not provided an Arborist report, just many excuses for the delays.

From customer service to quote to actual work done, I have nothing but positive things to say about this company. I recently removed all the trees and brushes in my backyard. I contacted quite a few tree services companies and private contractors and Ontree was the last one who came for estimate. The price was very reasonable. After I decided to hire them, it took me another 2 weeks before they actually came to my house. But hey, good things come to those who wait. They came in as professionals, fully equipped, highly trained and extremely knowledgeable. Not to mention their experience as one of the four crew members, the climber, John has been doing this for 30 years. They also took care for my property, surrounding the grinding machine with multiple pieces of plywood to stop the chips from flying around. As for the special circumstances: some of my trees had grown into the old wire fence which makes it difficult for them to do the job. However, from the beginning to the end, they didn't complain about anything. They just found a way to cut the wire fence open and remove the trees without asking for anything. And even when I requested extra work, they were happy to do it with very fair extra charge. What is more, after they finished, no one urged me to pay. Instead, I just received an invoice in the email quietly couple days later.Our sincere thanks to Zita, Jody, Stacey, John, John, the supervisor with the remote controlled grinder and all other great crew members for the service rendered.They did a good job. I highly recommend them.

Work ethics of the staffs doesn’t even deserve one star. I was greatly disappointed by the damages done by the staffs cutting the tree over my car. There were scratches on my car and they don’t care about it a bit. I made a complaint to their office, they kept of letting me wait for weeks and in the end, they said they won’t pay for the damage. It’s sad to know such people exist.

A professional organization to work with. From booking the appointment, confirmation process to site visit. The Arborist was very helpful and knowledgeable.Highly recommend them.

First impressions.. very professional and knowledgeable. Comparing 3 quotes apples to apples, pun intended, they were the most reasonable. The cutting and trimming of trees will begin end of January due to permits. Will update when the job is complete.

2nd time I have used Ontario Tree Experts to have a large tree pruned of deadwood to keep it healthy. Very professional and affordable. Cleaned up yard afterwards. I recommend them without hesitation.

I have been a customer of Jodie's since 1998 (previously called Ontario Tree Experts) and they have taken very good care of a silver maple in my back garden which is close to two hundred years old. It has gone from being in poor condition to fair to good condition even in this climate. It is so important to take care of the trees, canopy of our city and Jodie and Ontree shares my love for this tree.

A tree in front of my yard was in danger of falling down. I called Ontree in the morning and informed them it was an emergency. They were able to give us an estimate before noon and was able to get the job done in the afternoon. Ontree provided very efficient and professional service and they are reasonably priced. I highly recommend.
