I dealt with Donnell Law Group (and in particular Jonathan Friedman) for the better part of 2016 and into 2017 regarding an estate/will issue. Jonathan and everyone else I spoke with and dealt with were always professional and courteous. I always felt they had my best interests at heart, they advised me of all options honestly regarding every matter relating to my case. I will be using their services again in the near future and I would highly recommend Donnell Law Group to anyone in need of legal services and/or advise.

Ian Donnell is either corrupt or gone senile. I contacted the law firm for a consult. While setting up an appointment with another lawyer, Ian Donnell interjected himself and WITHOUT knowledge or consent contacted the other party and divulged the case against them costing thousands $$.Want your legal matters worse call these people. Horrible Ethics without remorse. If the head of this firm purposefully destroys cases of potential clients- the rest can't be trusted.

Jonathan Friedman is an amazing lawyer and I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of legal help.With my particular legal situation I needed a lawyer that I truly believed could win and not just a lawyer to say that I had a lawyer. Dealt with Iain Donnell himself. While I believe deep (deep) down inside he was once a decent human being, it’s clear that his years of practicing law have distorted his moral compass. He’s now all about making money off you, rather than doing what is ethical and right.Mine was a family law matter. Not for myself, but to assist my father after he put himself in an impossible spousal support situation. Because he could no longer afford to pay the required monthly amount after losing his job, he was subsequently incarcerated on 3 separate occasions before I decided enough was enough, and got involved.Despite Iain knowing that my family had literally lost hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal expenses in a messy divorce, and despite me being clearly skeptical of spending any more in legal fees, he reviewed our file and assured me we had a very strong chance to achieve our goal.After 3 retainer fees, and almost $15k worth of billable hours, I was then told that the chances of succeeding were minimal - and not because of a deep dive into the file uncovering something new. It was simply because a judge had previously disallowed any further motions to lower spousal support payments due to my father poorly self representing himself in court (when he ran out of money to pay his lawyer).When I challenged him on why he took the case in the first place, how the hours he charged were justified, and what changed from his initial review of this file, I got a bunch of BS lip service.Look. I get it. He’s running a business, and his aim is to make money for him and his partners, but knowing my circumstance, and my heightened skepticism, it blows my mind how someone can be so dishonourable, make a bold face lie to your face, then self justify it - all for the mighty dollar.Do yourself a favour and steer clear of him and his team. And don’t make the mistake I did by roughly disclosing your personal financial situation to him, because the more you’re worth, the more he feels entitled to taking your money.And Iain, if you’re reading this, I challenge you to try and rebut my claims by posting your side of the story. You know every word I’ve typed is true. You should’ve never taken the file (or my money) in the first place.Should also be noted that at the time of typing this, there were only 24 total reviews about your firm on google. For someone in business as long as you’ve been, seems shadily low.

Sometimes you just get lucky and find the right person to fight for you almost by accident. I found Rose without knowing anything about her and we just clicked from our first conversation. She helped me so much and got me results with my employment issue that I honestly didn’t think were possible for me to get. I really appreciate her help and guidance and would recommend her to any person looking for a high quality lawyer!
