I would usually have a good experience at this store but today it was awful. The employee closing the store was so rude. Couldn’t even bother to say hello back, just plainly ignored me. As I go up to the till, this girl has the most unwelcoming expressions on her face while ringing me through. I proceed to pay for my things and she sighs as I hand her cash and proceeds to tell me very rudely “we count the till at 5”. The store closes at 5:30. This store doesn’t accept tap payments and I didn’t have my cards on me. What am I supposed to do when I need products immediately? NOT COME TO THE STORE? I was being so patient during this whole thing and even apologized for handing her the cash.I understand her frustration about already counting the till and having to do that again. But one could at least be polite about it. While leaving I said thanks bye and still got absolutely no response to it just a snarky expression as if she’s telling me to get out.I really hope the management looks into this employee and talk some manners into her cause she absolutely lacks them.

I usually don’t write any reviews about anyone but, I just want to share my experience at modern beauty current white employees when I went to the store to pick up few products that I usually buy but they were not on the shelves then I asked for some help and these two employees denied to help me and they were sitting in the corner at the till and using their phones. When I came up to the till to ring through the products I picked up, they made me wait for 2 minutes when one employee with blond hair ringed the products thorough her way of assisting customer was very unpleasant while other employee was still sitting in the corner using her personal phoneI am a regular client at modern beauty supply from last few years, since I was assisted so rudely I will try going to the different location.That was embarrassing experience, and I will never go back where store employees embarase you in public, we all shoppers are respectful professionals, humiliation is big chunk to digest for us

I normally shop here however my experience shopping in this store yesterday august 15 was disgusting.i came in looking for a product i called in advance for and had confirmed stock for. The representative that helped me was not very helpful.there was a unwillingness to help and a lot of attitude.When i came up to the till. I think its normal to ask if we have an account and once i gave her my details shed proceed to ask me if this was indeed my account. I found this very strange as ive never had this experience before.I asked her if this is standard policy as ive never had this experience before. And she proceeded to tell me the store and the staff is new so i assume there has been a turnover.The employee i dealt with was extremely rude and unwelcoming. Definitely avoid if possible.I asked for a bag and she snarked and said flat out no.

Always a pleasure dealing with staff at this location and amazing staff at the head office of modern beautySales Rep are always a phone call or text away....Always enough inventory on the shelf' for those complaining about not being able to shop here. Don't embarrass yourself publicly, there is a sign out the door that clearly says for licensed professionals only". 95% of beauty suppliers are required to ask for your license to prove if your hairdresser. If beauty suppliers started selling to general public

My wife and I came to this location to shop some gift packs last week my wife usually shop there , that day I came with her. The employees seemed unpleasant to help us as if they didn't want to. We asked for help but still didn't get assisted. I noticed both were chatting which made us feel unwanted. Don’t get me wrong, we're a couple in our 30s and know young adults tend to be immature in jobs like. They don’t have name tags ,otherwise I mention the names but they both looked new.

I’ve put off writing a review in hopes that the customer service would change at this location. I hate to leave a bad review however every time I go to this location it seems the customer service has only gotten worse. First of all I understand you need to ensure the people shopping are actual stylist with an account, however the approach in how the staff handles this is just straight up rude. You might get a half hello when someone will yell at you across the store in an annoyed tone asking if you even have an account. Every time I have come into this location I have felt extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. Secondly every time I have placed an online order I will get a call saying my order is ready. When I go to pick up said order it’s never what I actually ordered, and generally of lesser value without a refund and me not noticing until I’ve left and am back at the salon. This happened on one particular occasion and I wasn’t even told about the replacement (usually the case) Got out to my car and a completely different set of shears of lesser value had been sold again with no refund or explanation. I went back into speak to someone. The “manager” was very rude and not willing to make a phone call to have the proper shears transferred. After going back and forth with her for about ten minutes I gave up and left feeling frustrated as I was stuck paying a higher price tag for a lesser value. After leaving the store the other staff member called me and said she would make the phone call to have the shears transferred and I could pickup within a week! Which was great! But I don’t understand why the manager argued with me for ten minutes over her having to make a two second phone call.overall I’ve given up on this location I will confirm to make the drive out to either Burnaby or Langley location as their staff is willing to help be kind and welcoming.

I Usally don’t write reviews, I believe we all are human and it’s ok to make mistakes.but when you are in customer service sometime it not to let go . I always shop from this location . Last month I went there there was a white girl working . She didn’t say hi to that’s fine but right after I entered she gave me wearied look. I felt like I am doing something wrong . When I went to the counter o bought some chi shampoos and conditioners . I bought bunch of it paid $700 altogether. I asked the girl when is your next sale coming up she answered very rudely She said I don’t know with any eye contact . And then she put a card into my shopping bag and sale was happening right after two days . And the surprising thing is that sale was on the products I purchased already. I was very disappointed . I don’t feel to go this location anymore

I’ve always had a great experience going to modern in surrey, Sona has always been great with helping and providing information on anything that I’ve ever asked for. It’s always nice seeing a familiar face when I go in too!
