Tyendinaga Caves
We had lovely morning visiting the cavern. The cavern is not enormous, but it is interesting to see. Our tour guide was excellent and informative. After the tour we were able to sit in their picnic area and enjoy our lunch. My favourite part of the experience is that it did not feel overly commercialized and it was a peaceful place to enjoy our lunch afterwards.

Great experience here! They take advanced bookings but when we called no one answered so we thought we’d try our luck and just go there. Luckily, there were a lot of spots and we got there just in time. The tour is very informational and the guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Got to learn a lot about caves and fossils. Family friendly and very interesting.

If you haven't been to a caverns or caves this is the place to go to in Ontario. It is about 1.5 hrs from Toronto, depending on traffic. It is a very nice place ,very clean, and the staff are super friendly. You have to book a tour to see the caves. They dont allow walk ins. There is no food or refreshments ,so bring your own food and have a little picnic in the area. It is very educational and the kids would definitely like it.The tour is about 45 mins long. Not really a big place compared to Luray Caverns in Virginia.

Billed as Ontario largest known cavern and my expectation is to see a rather large cavern with stalactites and stalagmites. Well, it's not really that big and there weren't any stalactites or stalagmites of significance to be seen. We were, in-and-out in 30 min max. It was still a nice little tour with a young and friendly guide. I wish there could be a bit more explanation on the geology of the area rather than just a very brief mention of Silurian and Ordovician periods at the beginning of the tour. There were a few informative photos and geological maps posted on the boards behind the small gift shop but I bet most people would have missed that. The board should add a chart showing the complete geological time periods so that visitors have a better understanding of what they are looking at and standing on. It's a unique place to visit and the price is fair.

Took our little ones here today and we all enjoyed it. Ages ranging from 4yrs to 13yrs for kids and adults had fun too. I was also able to easily wear my 4mth old and do the tour. :) Staff was great and everything was clean and well kept. Tour guide was very friendly and very knowledgeable. Definitely recommend for a fun stop!

Very good tour. Worth a quick stop. Bring a snack and enjoy picnic up on the hillock after the tour. Happy to support a local family-owned business.

Great experience for the whole family! Very well informed tour by a great guide! very educational, all of the staff and owners were super friendly, place is very well kept (very clean washrooms), Covid 19 protocols were respected and enforced in a great way. Caves were amazing, Hard to believe these are in Ontario. A must visit, price was great and well worth it! Loved the giftshop too! nothing over priced and cool stuff for the kids to buy to without breaking the piggy bank!

This is a very unique experience down into a cave full of rock formations and maybe a critter or two. A lot of work has gone into making a fun, educational and safe place. The tour guides are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Even above ground there's stuff to see from the fossil displays to the beautiful view from the lookout.
