The Doggy Lounge

We bring our Boxer mix dog, Lupe, to the day school. Elijah and Kirstin are very professional and knowledgeable. Our dog is learning so much and loves to go because of the care and attention she receives there. If she wasn’t a boxer she’d be grinning ear to ear about this place. We are.

Kirstin is an amazing groomer…she does one dog at a time, and gives them her full attention. When we first started bringing our dog to her, Presley was scared and would dig in as soon as she saw where we were and had to drag her up the path. This is because she had never been to a groomer before. Over time, Kirstin built her trust, and now when we arrive Presley runs down the walk excited to see her! We got a doodle rescue having no clue how much work their cost is to take care of, Kirstin has taken the time to kindly teach us how to take care of it, and got us on a regular grooming schedule that has made all the difference! If she has an opening and is taking on new grooming dogs, get in there because she’s awesome! We live in Central Saanich now and still drive across town once a month because we don’t want to take our pup anywhere else! 4 years and counting…

What a phenomenal business! My poor Irish Wolfhound is a bit of an anxiety case but the owner was so kind and gentle and sweet. In the end he recommended that a dog walker would be better for her but he could not have been more amazing during that process. If the grooming salon wasn't full up for a year I would already be a client but maybe one day. Your fur babies will be very well taken care of here!

We have been taking our two big dogs for nail clips for three years to the doggy lounge. Kirstin is such a wonderful and gentle with my two nervous dogs. She’s always has a smile and positive attitude!Great service!

We send our dog here. Service is fantastic. She’s always so excited to see her friends. They have a great group of dogs that go there! They also sometimes work on training with her and take her on nice walks. Above and beyond service

I recently used the grooming and dog daycare services of The Doggy Lounge Grooming & Dog Daycare / school in Sooke, BC and I am more than pleased with the service as was our pup. The Doggy Lounge staff are incredibly friendly and professional, and my pup was taken care of with the utmost love and care. Plus my pup learned a few new things and they reinforced some of her existing training like staying in place and leash walking skills. The regular grooming they do for our floof-ball is expert level and the price was more than reasonable. We trust The Doggy Lounge to the point where we will be looking at utilizing their overnight boarding service very soon. The staff / owners are very knowledgeable and they clearly have a passion for taking care of dogs. I highly recommend The Doggy Lounge to anyone looking for quality grooming, daycare or boarding services for their pup.

The Doggy Lounge is the best groomer I have ever brought my dogs to. Kirstin is such a talented groomer and my dogs always look fabulous after their grooming. My dog also loves going to daycare and hanging out with Elijah and has so much fun, she never wants to leave.

I cannot say enough about Elijah and Kirstin. My boy started going to their daycare at (8 months?) old. He was always very attached to me and they made sure that his transition was slow, for him, and for all the other dogs. I immediately respected that and knew they were the right fit. They have something very unique unlike any other dog care. Structure! They ensure the dogs never exceed a hyper/chaotic behaviour, which I find extremely important. I would never have sent my little guy to a big room of dogs running free with no expectations! Something I’ve always noticed is how well they set boundaries for each pupp. You walk in to get your dog at the end of the day, all the dogs know the ring of the bell on the door means someone is there, and yet not a single one of them bark even though they come from all different families and training. My boy quickly became excited to come to daycare, and he isn’t an easy one to part with his mom! They are communicative, and honest. If your dog has any ‘issues’ or red flags they let you know asap. I’d highly recommend these 2 as they have something that no other daycares provide. I no longer need the care for my guy and it was hard to leave, and I’m so thankful to them as I had a stressful time trying to find the right care for my dog! Thanks again you 2 !
