The only bank that doesn’t let you pay a bill because you don’t bank with them. Would never open an account here. Never have problems with the scotia bank next to my house but this one creates rules and policies as they see fit.You should remember that people switch banks only when they get good customer service.. every non client should be considered as a potential sale. When you’re unhelpful, you failed to impress and gain a new client.

Worst banking experience.Scotia is 3rd class bank with 3rd class services and even this branch doesn't have proper staff to cater customer requirements. Even no in-house business advisor.With Scotia, banking is nightmare.

No one in the branch answers the phone. It's my branch and I'm an hour away from them and after going through a string of automated responses I finally get a message saying that the approximate wait time for someone to answer the phone is approximately 45 minutes. Are you kidding me? This is not banking. I think they need to be in a different business if the wait time to speak to a bank staff is 45 minutes on hold on the phone.

Financial Advisors need to be trained properly. If they're unaware of a certain investment process and how to go about completing a transaction, they need to be honest and not lie to the clients. I waited 2 weeks for a response and I'm personally still waiting for a reply back from the Advisor on whether or not I should go to a different Advisor so that they can complete my request. Unbelievable.This is the 2nd FA I've dealt with at his location that has no clue as to what he is doing.

This is the worst bank I have ever seen, they have no respect for anyone. The girl sitting at front desk with brown eyes have very negative attitude with zero customer service skills. Assistant manager don’t know how to talk with clients. Stay away from this bank. Advisors are always outside wasting time of customers.

Horrible. I have left countless msgs with the branch manager over the last week and still have not received a phone call back. My account that was set up with this branch was compromised and money was stolen from me, you would think this would be a strong enough reason to return a call to a customer. After getting the issue fixed at another branch and being promised by Thompson and Main branch that they were going to fulfill out the duties of making sure that all transactions would be redirected to a new account they still failed to do so and once again still failing to return any of my calls and msgs. Horrible service.... extremely disappointing. Not only will I be switching branches but I will be switching banks all together and no longer have anything to do with Scotia Bank. Not the kind of treatment you expect after 20 years of service and hundreds of thousands of dollars flowing through. All investments and loans will no longer be in the hands of a ghost.

If you dont have an account with them they wont assist you. Straight forward asked me to go to my branch in mississauga. Well i moved. so i dont want to go there. should i cancel and open an account here now? doesnt make sense. Teller went to small business manager and she didnt even talk to me and asked to go to my branch where i opened my account.

The Financial Advisor I have been dealing with doesnt deserve her job. 18 days and counting and my Line of Credit has not been established, and it has cost me an additional $68 in fees. Only reason she followed up with me to arrange the second appointment was because her Manager called me due to the 1star rating I posted on the email survey. I've been dealing with Scotia for over 20yrs, but I'm ready to pull all my business and go elsewhere...maybe TD or CIBC. I've heard both have better customer service then this place!! 1star because I cant give less...

While I've had great experience at the branch every time, the experience if I have to call them on phone is extremely horrendous. Wait times are crazy, and you wonder where in the world are the ppl answering from. All I want to do some times is to talk to someone in the branch. Many times information has been lost when I talk to these CSR on the phone and what they tell the branch reps when I personally meet them. Absolutely ZERO stars for their phone CSR team...
