Finescale Models

This place has exactly what i wanted. If you want high quality paints and miniatures, this is your haven. The shop owner os realy nice and helpful, he even gave me a few vellejo guide pamflets. I wish i had bought more paints when i was there. Only thing to note is that they do not sell citadel or any other phantasy/mech miniatures.

This is quite possibly the best stocked hobby shop in the Valley if not B.C.!! The previous complaint about store hours - well, Martin may well have had to leave early on that particular day or perhaps he was not feeling well - I strongly urge and suggest giving him another chance - I suggest to you that it will be worth your while.. His business is a one man show and even store owners have a life and stuff does come up causing him to have to be away at times, it's a small business and it's not like he has a helper. He is always friendly, cordial and helpful and he is willing to share tips and building techniques. I try to support Fine Scale Models as best I can and highly recommend the store to anyone into scale modelling. Certainly, he has an unbelievable array of stock. We need to support these small local shops - they are becoming a thing of the past.

What's the point of staying your hours, if you're not actually going to follow it and be open?

Very well stocked hobby store, with not only models, but accessory paints ,glues, etc. All at very reasonable prices. His prices are better than shopping online. I fully support small brick and mortar stores like this. Plus the owner is very knowledgeable in the world of hobbies! I highly recommend this store

An excellent model shop with all sorts - trains, planes, automobiles, boats, and a few others. The owner is very knowledgable and quite friendly - always a pleasure chatting with him about model trains and many other topics.

Walked in. Very welcoming. Helped me with everything I needed. Tons of cool product for any type of model builder. If you ever need supplies or a new project would highly recommend.

This review is for their hours. Did a trip from Peachland on Friday Jan 24, hours on google said open till 6:00 pm. Was there at 4:45 and the closed sign was hung up and store locked up. The closed sign hung on the door said open till 5:00 which they were not. Wasted my time and gas. I'll shop Kelowna hobby stores from now on.

Helped me alot with the particular tank models i was looking for and had great knowledge on paints and painting techniques. friendly owner and had a lot of cool models. 10/10

I remember Martin at Finescale Models when it was in Lower Lonsdale in North Vancouver. Was a great model/ hobby shop then and still is today. Parents.....get your kids off those damn electronic devices and introduce them into model making, perhaps making a rocket. They say electronic gaming improves hand/eye coordination but I would say putting together a detailed model does the same and the results are something they would be proud to display to their parents and friends!
