Best Western Thunder Bay Crossroads

Although the hotel was on the older side, the staff at this location were incredibly friendly and helpful! The breakfast was delicious and well put together! Available parking all around the building which was very helpful! I would definitely return to this location, primarily because of my interactions with the staff!

They don’t take debit or cash. Learned this while trying to check in at 2:30 am after driving for 15 hours.

Just now I tried to check in but guy at reception behaved rudely and when I showed my booking details in my phone he just snatched it from my hands. When my brother asked washroom he denied. I am surprised if they are in hospitality business. If guys can not work long hours or late hours then should not work.

We stayed in one of the pet rooms. It was a lot nicer than expected and a lot nicer than some other hotel pet rooms. Comfortable bed and pillows. Staff were absolutely lovely, both check in and check out staff were very friendly.Thanks for the nice stay!

It was okay. Old. Needs updating.Close to restaurants and amenities. Breakfast is minimal.I booked into best westerns across the country using the main reservation line on July 18th.In each hotel we booked two rooms and one had to be pet friendly. When we arrived at this hotel they had no note of us needing a pet friendly room but the gentleman that checked us in was so good and moved stuff around to get us one pet friendly room.

I was driving across Canada and had driven about 8 hours that day. I was traveling with my dog so options were limited for pet friendly stays. I've stayed at other best westerns with him many times with absolutely no issues (and a welcoming front desk!). The front desk person was so rude, they told me I wasn't allowed to leave my room because dogs aren't allowed to be alone...? Which I understand but as a solo traveller and with a well trained dog, it was beyond ridiculous. In all my stops, this was the most uncomfortable and rude service I have ever received.The rooms are also facing the outdoors, which is a perk in some ways but people constantly driving in and out and it can be quite loud. Overall rooms are not sound proof.The best part was probably the breakfast.. though the whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth.Update to add: managers response is equally ridiculous. You can ask your paying customers to respect rules in a polite way, without being rude. Like I've said, I've been asked the same thing in many best westerns without having such an unfriendly, unwelcoming and incredibly rude experience.

Room was very old. Not the prettiest. I’m guessing it is because I asked for a pet friendly room. It wasn’t dirty but definitely could use a bit of an update. For 250$ a night I was disappointed. Man at the front desk was « meh ». Not rude at all, just not friendly and welcoming either.

Located right beside airport. Have stayed in several hotels nearby but this one was by far the BEST!! Bright and clean rooms. We stayed on 1st floor so there was an extra door to outside parking lot which made it so convenient for packing the car. An amazing hot Breakfast was included, served on the 3rd floor overlooking Table mountain which was a beautiful view. Breakfast options included scrambled eggs, waffles with all the trimmings, bacon, French toast, cereal, yogurt, eggs, toast or muffins and more. The staff everywhere in the building were so friendly!! Cleaners said hi, security said hi, front desk and everyone was smiling and said hello.... made it a great experience! Front desk were welcoming and helpful .... would definitely come back here!!

This seems like a safe bet but trust me it isn’t. This was by far the cheapest, most underwhelming best western I have been too. Quite expensive considering it offers nearly nothing. Strict pet policy’s compared to the other two best westerns I’ve stayed at this week. Entire room is made of cheap plastic items. Stay else were unless last resort.

Great place. Good breakfast. I highly recommend using their reservations line instead of third party
