Took basic sewing/ introduction. Loved the class. Ludmila has so much skill & experience to share.

I recently took an intro to basic sewing class with Ludmila and it was an absolute blast. I learned so much and now I have a snazzy new pair of pyjama pants. Honestly never thought I could sew anything, but I'm super impressed with what I made and the overall structure of the classes. Its not just diving into a project, we learned how to look at garments, understand the make of fabrics, different types of seams and stitches (which we assembled into a little personal reference portfolio). You get a holistic approach which comes in handy once you start the main project (and I can only assume in the next courses).So go book a class now! Learn to sew; you won't regret it :)

The basic sewing class with Ludmila was great! The course covered everything from how to thread the machine all the way up to constructing my first garment (cozy pj pants!). In addition to learning lots of key skills and terminology, Ludmila provided great advice and connections for machine repairs and fabric/notions purchasing. I feel like I know where to start now in order to tackle my own projects, and I look forward to taking more classes at the Green Needle.

Ludmila is a wonderful, patient, fun and stylish teacher. As a complete beginner, she provided excellent training and encouragement. Well worth it! Highly recommended!

This beginners course has provided me with a complete overview of the sewing machine, patterns, fabrics, different stitches and so much more. Ludmila is an extremely knowledgeable, professional and patient teacher providing constant direction and assistance to ensure the learning process is productive but also enjoyable. The green needle is a great place if you are looking for a hands-on learning experience about sewing! It went over a bunch of foundations and basic stiches and seams.It made what seems like an intimidating start to sewing much easier to grasp and pick up. It is one of the only places in Ottawa that offers a 5-6 week program and it was worth every penny.Ludmila is a great teacher, super hands on and really has a passion for repurposed fashion.I will definetly be taking another course and excited to start some of my own projects

I cannot speak highly enough of Ludmila and The Green Needle sewing classes. I was lucky enough to take private classes with Ludmila to learn some of the basics of sewing. Every class was so well planned and I learned so much to practice. There is so much creativity and passion in the classroom space. I was excited to go every day and I cannot wait to learn more from The Green Needle. If you are on the fence about taking one of these classes, just do it! I promise it is worth it. In very little time my daughter learnt so much! Ludmilla is so patient, knowledgeable and encouraging. My daughter loves attending her classes. We live in Orleans and so it's quite the trek but honestly it's worth the drive.

I just completed the sewing basics course, and I enjoyed it immensely. The atmosphere is very welcoming. I didn’t know how to wind a bobbin or thread a machine when I began. Ludmila provided excellent instruction from start to finish. She cares deeply about her students’ progress and understanding.Parking is free. The facility is set up well for learning. Overall, it was an excellent experience.
