Really nice store. It contributes to reduce plastics and be more zero waste with their products. They have the option to bring your own jars to refill them and they sell different types of products in bulk. The staff is really nice. And even though the prices are a little high is really good quality.

An absolute gem of a place if you're trying to reduce your waste. The store is small but holds a lot of products. Clean and well organized. I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 because some items are over priced (the hair conditioner is about double) and some of the containers are difficult to remove the product from if you want a larger (500 g or more) quantity.Besides home products they have some food items and theres a cafe in the front of the store. Overall satisfied and will return.

I was looking to buy a new shampoo bar and the employee (with the blue hair) gave me a good summary and recommendations of the ones they carry. Great service!

Small but has a lot of the basics. For some items, it is in fact almost double the price of bulk barn, but it is local, fair pay and trace and the labels will indicate its source, as well as indicate how green it is (they have a rating on the labels) unlike bulk barn. And compared to a regular grocery store it's almost 1:1! You will see on the labels, where they come from. They also carry a few things in bulk that surprisingly Bulk Barn didn't, such as citric acid! In fact, a lot of things in your routine can become zero waste! And it won't cost you that much. I bought a big jar of unpopped kernels, a little all purpose flour and a small jar of baking soda and it cost me a little under 5$. Zero waste, local, ethically sourced and all. The olive oil at triple the price of the grocery store was too much for me. The clothing detergent smells so good and fresh! So it depends if you're going for zero waste only or zero waste and socially responsible. That's the difference you're paying for the price.Everything is indicated in French mainly, some in English, but staff is helpful if you need. They sometimes don't have basics like white sugar but will have cane sugar, and not a huge selection of pasta but do have some gluten free options. There are some fresh pastries, some bread, some fruits & veggies (like mushroom, zucchini, carrots, onions, banana, avocado that's already ripe!)They also carry other home things and lots of home cleaning basics, shampoos, conditioners, dish tabs, laundry detergent, etc! Surprisingly, these come out to the same price or even cheaper than the big box brands like Tide! I think because it's from local companies. Yup, I did the math. One thing that did bother me was there wasn't a latch or magnet to keep the cover in place when you were refilling your bottle. And not enough room for the lid to stay open on its own, for items on shelves. If you forget your jar, no problem! They have some there for 1$ deposit (and free paper bags). Just bring it back clean next time! Their honey and some items like peanut butter (although PB is also available in bulk your own portion) are in jars already for simplicity sake since it takes a while to fill.Shopping on Sundays is usually not the best because items can run out of stock (milk in bulk, the ones in the fridge are usually there though and some veggies and mushrooms can be gone)

It is a nice concept, although there are a few in Verdun. Queuing up to pay is sometimes rather long, I was behind a couple that wanted to change the container because they thought it would cost them less. Luckily an employee saw this an opened a new cash, but I was surprised that home brought containers were not first weighed before products are put in so that we aren’t charged for the container weight, they do this at bulk barn. It’s very very small but I’m interested in trying their milk, and they do have interesting products. 4 stars because staff is hard to recognize and the prices are difficult to find at times.

Great place to find eco-friendly products and refillable home supplies with your own bottles and containers. They also have some good produce, bulk pasta, bulk nuts and more! The staff are also really friendly and helpful. The prices are also pretty good. Slightly more expensive than supermarket products but it's worth it for the planet! :)Edit: 6 months update. Still amazing. And they keep adding new products!

They have a huge variety of organic foods that we can buy in bulk, such as rice, beans, nuts, dried fruits, coffee, tea, honey, vinegar and more. Everything is reasonably priced and high quality. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. This is a must-visit for anyone who wants to live a more natural and eco-friendly lifestyle.
