When my wife & I decided to include a home theatre as part of our extensive renovations we made a point of trying to find a company that could make the experience fun while staying within our budget. I popped into several home theatre-electronics retail locations only to be given the cold shoulder (always amazing to me that they wouldn't show more interest in someone trying to spend money with them!). It seemed like because I am not a techno nerd they couldn't be bothered with me. We ended up talking to Graytek (we were referred by our contractor) and from the moment we met Shawn Moran we knew we had found the right guys! We hit it off with Shawn mostly because he is passionate about what he does.....he was as excited about our project as we were! Pretty refreshing. They put together a system that fit within our budget and that they were excited about. It turned out that our room was very similar in size to the showroom that they have at their location in Coquitlam. The system they spec'd was also close to what they have there and when we were able to sit in the showroom, and experience what it could do---we were hooked. My wife who was basically going along with my idea suddenly got as excited as Shawn & I!From there, we have had nothing but a great experience with them. Our onsite guy Wes has been super.....I know there are also other people in the background like Rory who have formed the backbone of a successful implementation.We ended up adding home automation to our project and love everything.Call and talk to these guys.....they are great!

We have consulted with Graytek on numerous projects over the past few years. Before being introduced to Graytek by a trusted contractor, we used another company for our home integration needs. After experiencing the service and professionalism of the Graytek team, we would never go back to our old provider. Not that the old guys weren't good, Graytek is just above and beyond good! They help us achieve the functionality required in our projects while still maintaining our detailed design and beauty. I recently hired Graytek to perform some work at my own home and am personally thrilled with the results. Graytek’s team put together a fantastic system for me and my family. Shawn guided me through the entire process in a comfortable and understanding environment. Their technicians worked very well with the trades on site and everything was transparent through the entire process. Our system that included a theatre, lighting control and audio throughout the house is easy to use for the entire family. When we were first introduced to Graytek, Shawn approached us and showed us their automation experience at an actual home close to their office. We were very impressed with Graytek's operating and systems and decided to bring them aboard one of our projects. When working with Shawn and their team, there was great communication being them and our designers which made our job very easy. Their staff were very knowledge about home automation, light and safety controls and are also kept up to date with the latest systems. Highly recommend! Graytek did a fabulous job of incorporating some new pieces into the existing whole-house tech/av setup in our newly-purchased home. They were able to get access the day before we arrived and worked hard to make sure everything was ready to go before our 14-day quarantine, where, as you can imagine, great internet and av setup was essential for us. If we had questions in the first fortnight, Graytek was a quick phone call away. Later in the month, their tech came to our house (with good Covid protocols) to add a few more pieces. He was very knowledgeable and personable and made sure we knew how to move between options with ease. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the expertise and customer-focus of this family-run local business.

Shawn and his team at Graytek have been a pleasure to work with. Problems that inevitably come up throughout the course of a project were dealt with in a timely manner and the accountability, professionalism and quality of their work was well received. We would be happy to work with Graytek again on our next job.

I had a terrible experience with this company. I spent close to $40,000 with these guys upgrading our home audio visual to control 4 a few years ago. They completed the job ok. After this, I needed help with the motorized shades (which had absolutely nothing to do with the $40,000 upgrade).. The guy they sent had no clue whatsoever and didn't fix the problem but on top of that wanted to charge me for many hours he didn't spend (I was here the whole time and knew exactly how long he was here). I still paid them for the time he was here (even though he didn't fix the problem). After I brought this up to them, they would not do any service for me for the $40,000 upgrade of the audio visual. They have all my RIT files from the upgrade and now I have to incur costs again to hire someone else. They are not professional in their attitude and I don't recommend them.
