Take it from someone who hates getting their haircut. I was very pleased with my experience here. I asked ahead of time for my stylist to wear a mask and Mix was happy to do it for me…no fuss. The price is good for location, the professionalism, and the quality of service they provide at Room1six. I highly recommend this spot.

My experience is based on two different services. I first went for a haircut which was a decent experience for me, although it felt a little rushed, I liked how it came out and appreciated the look. For a haircut, maybe I would go again not sure if it's worth the 100+.The second time I went for a simple manicure (no shellac or fancy stuff) just basic manicure with nail polish. The manicurist was really rushed, treated my cuticles poorly, leaving them hurting and clearly was rushing to get the job done. Could tell she really needed to get on to another customer. The nails were unevenly cut and I came home with my thumb cuticle area hurting quite a bit. Would not recommend this salon for their manicure and sorry they might have lost me as a customer because of this.

I had such a pleasant experience here! i called on a Friday to ask if they had any space the next morning for a wash and blow out for a friends wedding and they were so kind to squeeze me in! Tina did a wonderful job. She took her time and was so delicate. I usually don’t look forward to things like this because my scalp is sensitive and I hate having my hair pulled. Tina have a wonderful head massage and was so gentle. Thank you!

I went based on the good reviews but I wish I didn't. Honest review after getting a wash, haircut, and styling. Do not go. Save your money and go to another salon.The salon was really gross and off putting. There is hair everywhere, under furniture, on the steps and in all the corners. I feel like it is not cleaned at all. I went right after they opened at 11:30a so the uncleaned hair and wasn't caused by business during the day.My haircut lasted for 10mins, I paid $85 + tip and would have liked to have a proper haircut. I asked for a 1 inch trim and a refresh on my long layers. My shortest layers were not trimmed at all. I have to go to another salon to get another haircut now.Pricing is not based on stylist skill or experience. I got someone who looked 21 and just graduated school. I should have asked and done better research.If you want to get your hair straightened or curled you have to pay extra. The haircuts only include a blowout and you can't substitute it. I asked. I've never heard of this and honestly I feel like they are just trying to up-selling.The people were nice but the quality of my haircut was below standard for what I paid. The salon is dirty and not cleaned. Will not be going back. I have literally no idea how they have a 4+ rating.

Today I got my baby lights / highlights done with Amy and she did such an amazing job! My hair was previously fried off by an inexperienced stylist and it had finally grown out. I was new to getting my hair done downtown Toronto and I couldn't have made a better choice by going to see Amy. Amy was super helpful, and professional and made exactly the right choices to keep my hair healthy and strong but still look fabulous!

Finally I’ve found my go-to salon in downtown Toronto. This one is a bit of a walk for me but well worth it. The prices are average for downtown, especially for the quality of service and cut- I didn’t find it too expensive. My stylist was Maryam and I was so impressed with her paying attention to what I was looking for, she gave me the style that I had wanted which seems standard but I found other downtown places lacking in this. I have tried many hair salons in the downtown (especially waterfront) area and this is the only one where I felt I got what I was asking for, and for a decent price with no hidden fees. Thanks!

Room1Six is amazing! Best hair salon I've been to in the city!! Cara just tops it off, she was absolutely wonderful. She did such an amazing job on my hair! I highly recommend Cara and this hair salon.

I was referred here by a coworker of mine and I’m always nervous to go to a new stylist but I’m so glad I did. Amy did such an amazing job on my cut and colour. She made my blonde dreams come true! I will continue trusting Amy with my hair from now on.

So far this has been my worst experience of my whole life.I went for simple hair blow-dry. And instead I got oily hair. I could have done way better then that at home.Trust me my hair are long, think and beautiful. It was so bad that I had to come back home and do it myself, still whole night my hair seems oily. And I was going for the event that night so imagine my experience.There were no proper product used. Even after raising my concern it was not corrected and I was told that all the steps were followed. What does that mean?Looks like they have very inexperienced staff.
