A group of 4 of us attended The Mouse Trap on March 03.Although the story line was interesting, none of us were able to hear all the dialogue. We were in the fourth row from the stage. That is Close enough so it should not have been a problem. The theatre itself is pleasant and seating comfortable, but this is a problem! We have been to only one other production a few years ago, so don’t know if this is a regular occurrence.

Best live theater in Vernon. Local actors and quality shows. Being an older theater it brings with it comfortable seating and plenty of legroom. Sightlines are excellent and sound is never an issue. Parking and sometimes be a challenge due to location but there is lots to be found in the area. If you get the chance to see a show here, go!

I have only seen one show, The Mousetrap. Theatre is quite run down and it was hard to find seats because they are not marked properly. Considering the play is a comedic whodunit, it was boring and badly directed. There were times when no one was on stage and no dialogue - just dead air. And it was far too long - more than 30 minutes longer than the professional stage production.

This theater is finally back up and running after a 3 year layoff.I have seen six or seven plays here over the past fifteen years.Last night I watched Cabaret on Opening Night in front of a sold out crowd.Given production costs are $60, 000, tickets have increased to $50.As someone who did theater in high school and university, I know the $50.75 price tag is out of necessity rather than out of corporate greed. Local live theater isn't a lucrative racket. For three hours of entertainment, it's great that we can have our own proper local live theater. Clearly everyone involved took pride in their own work. The tiered seating means everyone has a good view of the stage. I'd say somewhere between 500-800 people can fit inside.Overall, it's a good time and I am happy to see local theatre back!

My family not only attend the shows but are directly involved with many of the behind the scenes productions. I've always found it strange that management will not allow the audience to take their seats once they've paid for tickets. They'll make people wait, crowded in the foyer even in these days of post covid. So many elderly people taking turns in the few chairs available. Then once the doors to the main theatre are open, it takes that much longer getting everyone seated, delaying the show further.

Congratulations to all the cast and crew of a Christmas Carol performing out at O'Keefe Ranch. Absolutely FANTASTIC! If this is not an annual event it would be a shame! This immersive production was off the charts!

We went to see The Game is Afoot and were delighted with the evening. The quality of the production was great, the actors were superb and the venue was comfortably theatrical. If you're looking for a night out with some culture this is a great option. We combined it with dinner at Little Tex, close by, which gives a discount of 10% to theatre goers.
