Very caring! I take my mother here for her appointments and they are always polite and take a keen interest in her health and well-being. Lately we have had an issue at the hospital and Dr. Sowery and staff are top of it all and keep us updated.

I have had bladder cancer twice and have had a very positive experience with Dr Sowery. I have found him to be a very caring and thorough Dr and have always had the needed procedures done quickly. I would highly recommend him.

Do not recommend.Location is perfect, basically in the heart of downtown Burlington, but overall...poor service upon my first meet. Secretary was rude as well as the urologist I spoke with had rushed our initial meeting without showing any concern to my matter.I’ll be looking around as they told me to come back in a couple months... after I already waited weeks for the first appointment.

Really friendly & knowledgeable reception. Dr. Sowery seems like a thorough & compassionate urologist as well.

I really didn’t feel like there was much of an examination done. He was late for the appointment and I felt he was rushing and not listening to my concerns. As a specialist I didn’t get any information I didn’t know about. Also, as far as trying to get to the root of the issues, he was pretty general (eat well, exercise and control glucose). I was left disappointed as I feel that waiting for a month for an appointment, getting time out of my day to do blood work and taking time of my day today to see him was a waste of time. Seem that he was in rush and nothing was fixed nor was there a path to get better - I got a pamphlet and he said if you wish to peruse anything on the list call the person on the card….not impressed

Dr Sowery, at 1st, I thought was pushing me off…..until I talked to the hospital. Joe Brant advised my case wasn’t chosen for immediate surgery by them, not the Dr. Dr Sowery had to pass off the information to me. Without hanging the hospital out to dry.Once talking to Dr Sowery, he is mandated with OR times and case selections by the hospital. He explained everything to me. Once I advised of my discomfort. He then was able to secure extra OR time and got me in within days. Dr. Sowery does not have control of when he can perform surgery. You must call Client relations at the hospital and beg for them to pick your case.Surgery was slotted in, I had the best possible outcome and his follow up was exemplary. Ultrasound to ensure my kidney was clear with a follow up call upon results. He cares, but he is busy and at the discretion of the hospital. Would have given 5 stars but it did take a month to realize and understand the hospital was the issue. Great Surgeon; give him time , he is busy and his hands are tied
