Canadian Tire

Just tried to return a hose that was kinking and splitting, was told that they only give store credit, and yet it was the only “decent” style hose they had. Was not allowed to get out money back. The cashier told us it was Canadian tire policy. The policy clearly states that some items may not be eligible for a refund, yet she was adamant that no items were eligible for a refund. She was very abrupt when we tried to talk to her about it, and just said that store policy was not very happy the worst customer service that we received in Canadian. Tire always seems to be at this location.

Great place to shop. Impressed with the computerized price tags that keep everything accurate. If it is a sale item the tag flashed red. Love their scooters. I have leg issues and this allows me to comfortably cover every square foot of this store. Great customer service at all levels

Feel bad for the one star since most of the staff I spoke to were very kind and helpful. But the manager in the automotive department is awful, extremely condescending and so rude. I had a tire emergency (my alignment is off and it wore them down to almost nothing) they thankfully took me that day because it was a long weekend. It was a long wait and I didn’t mind since we didn’t have an appointment, totally understandable. But after they replaced the tires all of the lights on my console were on, my ABS was stuck on, I nearly rear ended someone leaving the parking lot so I turned around and brought it back. They looked and said everything was fine. The manager dismissed any and all questions I was trying to ask, would cut me off mid sentence to say something rude, even his staff looked embarrassed by his behaviour. I live 3 hours away from this location (I was visiting family in London when this happened) I had to drive home with my 2 young children in this truck that wasn’t road worthy. I took it to my local regular mechanic and they told me they compressed a few lines and some other issues I didn’t have before having just 2 tires changed. My mechanic said I was lucky I made it back that far without the tires falling off or being in an accident. Do not give these people your vehicle. It’s a chop shop, they don’t care.

If you need anything here keep receipts and make sure they don't fade. I have had prior difficulties with policy here but that was a long time ago and things are fine. I always have that in back of my mind and why I give 4 star and not 5. I still think this is pretty good.

I recently had a highly disappointing experience at the Canadian Tire store located at 1875 Hyde Park Rd. I feel compelled to share my encounter to warn other potential customers about the misleading information and unhelpful service I received.My wife purchased a chair marked as a final sale item, with the reason for clearance indicated as assembled" on the sticker attached to the chair. This is the closest Canadian tire to us and we go here when we need something. We can always check the stock online. Staff are friendly. The person that greets at the front is obviously is trying to help and make it a pleasant shopping experience. Sometimes we do ask her where an item is. Canadian Tire is trying to improve their customer experience. Overall I'm happy with the service at this Canadian Tire and the rest of them as well!

Awful customer service. We bought winter tires, they took our summer tires off and put them in bags. We went back to get the summer tires back on and after doing that they told us that one of the summer tires was damaged on the side wall and was not safe to drive on.Just like that! No explanation or solution! Just pay us and leave but be careful because your car isn't safe. When we questioned how or why there was no answer. How difficult and different would it have been if they noticed side wall damage before putting them into the bag? How difficult would it have been to come out with a solution? Canadian Tire sell tires, don't they? It was apparent that the damage to the tire was from hitting something and not from their tire machine, so this was no one's fault. But I would have expected a bit more professional attitude from these so called experts! We were so upset that we told them to put the winter tires back on. When we asked if they were going to charge us they said they wouldn't because they felt bad that they didn't notice the damage last year when they took them off. This was the first hint of compassion. Then when the car was ready they hit us again with a charge of $100.00 ! They are obviously not at all concerned with keeping customers!

This review is only for AUTO service.My car's air conditioning broke down, so I decided to get it repaired at this establishment. However, the experience turned out to be far from satisfactory.Upon arrival, I was immediately handed an inspection form by a staff member named Josh, who informed me that I would be charged over 100 CAD for the service. Having no choice, I agreed, hoping that the inspection would help diagnose and fix my problem. After waiting for more than three hours, I was simply told that there might be an issue with the sensor and was advised to visit the dealer for resolution. No further details were provided, leaving me clueless about what the inspection involved or what I was actually paying for. I found Josh's service to be highly unprofessional. He was impatient in his explanations, displaying a complete disregard for my concerns. I was left feeling frustrated and taken advantage of. I strongly advise against visiting this establishment. The lack of professionalism and transparency is not worth the high fees charged. Save your time, money, and frustration by choosing a more reliable and customer-friendly service elsewhere.

Purchased a portable Air Conditioner. Was defective after installing it. Purchased another Air conditioner brand thinking I would just return the defective one when I get a chance. Well all Canadian Tire will offer is an exchange for another AC and not a refund. Now I'm out $800 and Canadian Tire has lost a customer. I'm sure Costco or Home Depot or even Amazon would have had no problem refunding me. Be careful what you buy as the return policy doesn't cover everything in the store. Going to try and sell the exchanged unit for whatever I can get and take the loss.UPDATE: Contacted the the Customer service team as advised and they said sorry we cannot do anything. If I could leave 0 star I would. Wasted more time on the phone now. What a Joke.

The mechanic crew is helpful, however the general manager is incredibly unethical in his profession.Likes to yell at people and has no etiquette when speaking to customers. And then had the audacity to say, I don't fight on weekends
