The Secret Food Your with Carol was amazing. She was very knowledgeable and had great intonation, timing and storytelling abilities. She was a wealth of information and knowledge and shared it in a very relatable way. While the food was delicious, what made this tour enjoyable was Carol.

This was our third Secret Food Tour, and it was the BEST! Yulia is terrific (THE BEST GUIDE!!!) and really gave us a flavor of the foods as well as the city's history around St. Lawrence Market. If you haven't done one of these tours before, I highly recommend them. We've also done them in Edinburgh and in London, but the one in Toronto is worth a visit to the city if you like touring and eating.

We went on the Secret Food tour with Carol. We were six in our group with 2 teenagers, each with their food idiosyncrasies. Carol was very informative and she was happy to deal with the teenagers wants and needs.Overall great food tour with some history as well.

Carol was an excellent tour guide giving historical stories mixed in with yummy foods. She cared for everyone on the tour and would check in with each of us through out our food adventure. Even if you are from Toronto this is a fun way to spend an afternoon.

Yulia was amazing!! Such good food in Toronto, we were so full we couldn’t eat the rest of the day. Loved the history and learning about the area as well.

Despite having grown up in Toronto, I learned a ton of great and interesting information. Our guide, Yulia, was so personable, took great interest in our lives, knew her stuff and also ensured the tour flowed with our energy. Awesome 3 hours; fully stuffed!

I am so glad I did this tour. Our tour guide, Yulia, was so sweet and informative. We were fortunate that our group was small, so we got to interact with each other the entire time. I have always been a fan of mixing history with food/drinks. I did not know there was so many unique food related to Toronto. I did like the diversity of the cuisines. Each location was unique. Walking around the market was a bit overwhelming. I wanted to buy everything. I look forward to spending more time there.Overall, the walk was not difficult. We stopped a few times throughout the tour, which broke up things up some. If you have mobility issues, you may some problems. I would definitely do this tour again next time I'm in town.

We just recently had out Secret Food Tour with YULIA. Though it was a rainy Sunday, she made the experience not to forget. We were the only paid local from the group, and though we knew Toronto, these places were not really explored by us ever. being able to hear about the history of different buildings (Yulia is very knowledgeable), along with history of the different places we visited to taste food from. I would do it again. I can tell you we were thinking of having dinner that evening, but with 3 hours of food tasting along wit burning some of those calories walking in between.. not a chance. I would strongly recommend this tour if you are not familiar with Toronto's historic foods, and for sure ask for Yulia to provide you this tour. Cheers and Thank You.

The experience was interesting and my guest and I were quite full at the end of it. We opted to be tourists in our own city (Toronto) and we enjoyed it. That being said, I would not participate in a similar experience again at the Mastercard Priceless price point. We hoped for a more elevated experience. Although we enjoyed the experience, we did not feel the price matched the experience:-The group photo taken at the end of the tour had my guest's eyes closed. As it was a souvenir photo, we hoped the tour guide would have checked this beforehand.-The site had advertised a secret bite in addition to the foods listed, the 'secret bite' ended up being one of the foods already listed, so not having a surprise at the end was a bit disappointing.-Throughout the tour, the tour guide mentioned she obtained some of her information from internet searches. We felt this was a bit unprofessional as it took away from the experience of being educated by a subject matter expert.-We felt the sequence of foods could have been better arranged (i.e. tart, coffee, bagel) though it was still an enjoyable experience. The foods were shared - this was not an issue for my guest and I; however, it could be a bit awkward for strangers. It was helpful additional plates and cutlery were requested.-The tour guide did not confirm with the bakery in advance which tarts were of which variety. This resulted in my tart having been held and cut open by another tour member before realizing it was not their requested choice. I would have appreciated another tart; however, with no offer made by the tour guide, I was willing to make do with tart after it was handled by another.-The maple syrup testing fell a bit short of expectations. We were taken to the basement of the market and the tour guide took out two bottles of syrup and provided us with spoons to sample the two varieties. There was some discomfort where the tour guide would remove the excess drip off the side of the bottles by wiping the bottle off on our used spoons for the second tasting. We did not feel this was sanitary in light of the recent pandemic (tour was in Fall 2022). We also expected we would be taken to a shop vendor for the tasting for their expertise, so we could ask more questions and perhaps purchase a bottle (this would have been a bit more tourist-like). Nonetheless, the syrup tasting was advertised and that is what took place.-We passed the other food tour that was occurring at the same time and the tour guide was asked how the Mastercard tour differed from theirs. She stated the difference was that we had the opportunity to sit a two places and eat. Although that was the response, we would like to think/hope there were other differences she may not have mentioned or was aware of otherwise is was a bit disappointing to hear that was the only difference. In addition to the above, I did want to mention the following:-I would definitely visit the places she took us too again.-The food was delicious.-The tour guide was friendly and very accommodating with drink selections.-She shared some very interesting tidbits and showed me a side of my own city which I never took notice of before.-Time was managed well.We are glad to have taken this experience.
