Unfortunately there is not a lot of choices from Calgary when it comes to air travel companies. One of my Worst experience ever. On my way to Paris, both flights were rescheduled to far less more convenient times. On the way back, they boarded us and made us wait over 2.5 hours on the plane, and for the connexion flight in Vancouver, there was hardly any help or any info. Instead of a 12 hours journey it took us over 20h! Horrible company

Very impressed with air staff on flight TS622 March 24/18 YYZ TO LGWThis was our best trip ever with this air line. The staff on this flight were excellent and did more for the passengers then they had to. They made sure every one was comfortable on this flight. We have traveled a lot on this airline as it has good prices. But this is the first time we have ever been happy with the service and can give them 10+ usually we rate them 6-7. Will done the flight staff of TS622.

1. Didn’t have enough leg room. 2. The entertainment system was broken on the whole airplane for my 10-hour trip. All other customers including myself were bored after reading everything we had and chatting forever. 3. For my first trip with this company to Paris, the seat was broken too. 4. When the flight was delayed for 90 mins, there’s no staff holding a sign or providing any help by the gate. For all customers with connecting flight including myself, we were lost and disappointed. 5. However, the flight crew had a fantastic attitude. I respect that. I give one star only because of them. Overall, unfortunately in my 18-year traveling experience, this company gave me a really negative impression. I’ll take my responsibilities as well. I’ll indeed pay more and choose bigger companies like Air Canada in the future.

If there is a zero star, I will give them negative, this is a airline that cancels your flight without notice, you will arrive at the airport knowing your flight is cancelled, they won’t reimburse anything, no hotel, no rebooking same date, you will get a taxi reimbursement, that’s how they treat their customers. When we go and argue with the clerk, they became angry and yelled at us, very good service.

I flew from Glasgow to YVR and had a long delay in Toronto. They had no cabin crew, plane was dirty and cold. I paid extra for Club Class and didn't get it. They sent me a voucher which is no good given flights are grounded world wide. Their baggage staff wrecked my new suitcase by dropping it.

When I have read the reviews of AIr Transat, I expected something really bad, so after we flew with them, I have decided to write one too - I was really nicely surprised that even lowcost airline can have such a nice service. The stuff was nice, the food was good, everybody hat its own screen with many movies (don't forget your headphones!:) and our flight was smooth. I simply don't think that this airline deserves such a bad rating.. Everything worked out good and the price was good too!

After 12 weeks we are still ignored by Air Transat. We purchased vacation package from Air Tranat for 13 people (Toronto and Vancouver) and hotel only for 5 people from Europe in spring 2018 and flew Vancouver Cancun and Cancun Vancouver on April 28th - May 5th, 2019. It was my destination wedding and it had terrible end. Because of poorly trained staff at the Vancouver airport and also in Cancun airport one of our group member was left behind in Cancun. I would like to say she is Canadian citizen as well as Australian citizen, flew on her Australian passport. Before we left Vancouver she was confirming with Air Transat crew if she is safe to fly with her Australian passport, because her Canadian was expiring ( even she knew, because she travels on both passports on regular bases). There was no issue during the boarding from Vancouver. Unfortunately she could not be board on the plane from Cancun. It appeared that she needed authorisation to travel to Canada, which to apply for this document would take only few minutes. Due the unhelping Air Transat staff in Cancun airport, we lost 45 minutes to be able to finish the document. By the time she got approved document, they closed the check in. Because of her anxiety followed up with panic attack after she was told she cannot be board on the flight to Vancouver, I left my family and friends to fly back to Vancouver and I stayed with my other friend in Cancun. They did not allow us to make any phone calls, they did not try to help us in this unfortunate situation. The supervisor was very unprofessional and she was the main reason of missing the check in time. We spent fortune for new flights, data, hotel and food. I am permanent resident in Canada so I fly on Czech passport. I can tell you that if you are traveling round flights with companies like Air Transat, Sun wings, west Jet etc.. They need to check your second travel document before they let you leave the country if you need one. Of course I got checked, she did not. Air Transat failed.Here is more stuff that potential customer should know: It was not our first vacation with Air Transat. We have already experienced little things like delays, wrong rooms, and poor service in the plane etc. This year it was our wedding and even we paid for updated room, we ended up with wrong room and got one king size bed for 2 adults and 12 years old child who stayed in the room with us. Planes are very small with no food or entertainment, everything is extra charge. They will play one movie on 6hr flight and will give you the choice of listening English or French, unfortunately the English did not work on both flights. The movie was not appropriate for children with sexual content and shootings on the way to Mexico. Your headphones will not fit in their outlets, so you are forced to buy their headphones. After purchasing it, we had to return two sets until we got one that worked. When they worked, they play only French. Thankfully we always bring board and card games to entertain the kids and mix it up with the movies during our flights. All these are little things that we would never bother to share as we always enjoy our vacation no matter what. But this time the whole customer service failed in the most needed time; I will not let this go. And if it means to share this review regularly to prevent people from getting disappointed, I will help them out to make better choice than we did.We booked 4 people from Toronto full vacation package( no group discount as we did not have 10 adults traveling from one gate), 5 people from Czech Republic hotel only and 9 people from Vancouver full vacation package( no group discount). This is how we are treated for choosing their service.I hope this review will help other customers to make good choice. Do your research first. I know we are not the only one. Don’t be one of us!! Having seen a full page ad in the paper about Air Transat getting an award as best something or other I thought I'd share my experience.Just before Easter I booked a trip for my family to Manchester from Vancouver. As I'm tall and have sciatica I booked 'club' class for us all.What I didn't realise was that for the Vancouver / Toronto leg of the journey (which is pretty much half and direct was not available at that time of year) 'club' is in fact a row of three regular seats with one left empty in the middle, dividers still in place. This is not made clear in the booking process, and had it been I'd have taken a different route or airline and spared myself the unpleasant after effects that took some time to clear up.Obviously a) the leg room and seat width problem of standard is still there for anyone like me and b) the price of two 'club' class tickets is considerably more than three standard which would have achieved the same result. Really it felt like a rip off. Anyway I filled in a complaint form on the flight and handed it in, as might be expected no response has ever shown up.Now I have no complaint about the flight crew or about the transatlantic part of the journey, hence the not too bad star rating, but anyone planning to book 'club' should be aware, and should be made aware by Air Transat, that they are wasting their money on an internal flight

HORRIBLE AIRLINE. We got there 55 minutes before the flight was leaving, with NO check in baggage and they said they closed check-in, and we basically lost our ticket. I have never ever experience this before with United, Westjet, or Sunwing, or any other international airline. We have plenty of time to go through security, and board the plane. We went to the Sunwing counter, and they had a plane leaving about the same time as the Air transat one, and they sold us tickets, and said to go through security and board immediately. So this 3 hours before flight leaves for a domestic travel is complete bogus, and they deserve to get a no star review. I'm NEVER ever using them again.

I’m still in the plane right now being seated for more than 3 hours. While it’s being consistently being delayed over and over and over and over again I’m terrified with the service of this airline company (AIR TRANSAT) and will definitely have to share this experience to all my friends/families and coworkers as I don’t want this to happen to any of them. And don’t expect any usb port to charge smartphones as there is none in the entire plane. Respect to all passengers who are remaining seated calm and patient.
