I do not believe this center is equipped to help women and children in situations of intimate partner violence and coercive control, or family violence. Claims of a trauma-informed approach and knowledge of family violence was not accurate.The psychologist repeatedly tried to force meetings with all family members, regardless of the past history of abuse and the child’s and mother’s unwillingness - and claimed it was in the child’s best interests. The psychologist never interviewed the child or the mother but repeatedly claimed that she knew the child’s best interests better than the parent.A comprehensive assessment was required per multiple referrals. Yet the psychologist unilaterally refused to do one - despite knowing the clients had been waiting for over 18 months for a comprehensive assessment. As a result, no interviews were done with the numerous collaterals required for the referred assessment. Instead, the psychologist did a limited assessment, failed to acknowledge this was not the approach required per the referrals. And then made findings without any context for the child’s adverse childhood experiences, language barriers, and other factors related to an accurate assessment of the child’s mental health and academic performance and needs.A French language assessment was also required and yet the psychologist assessor did not speak French. Despite protests from the French speaking parent, the psychologist insistent on interviewing French unilingual speakers in English and refused offers for a translator.The report was written in a manner that was sympathetic to the abusive parent and implicitly placed blamed on the mother without any interviews or verification of the family history. The psychologist provided the report to the abusive parent without the mother or child’s consent which was required by legislation due to the child’s ange, and per the decision-making terms in the parenting Court Order. The psychologist also took the abusive parents embellished and false statements and put them in the report without identifying them as statements made by a parent, and without any evidence submitted to support the claims.The Psychologist then challenged the victim(s) to file complaints. Which the victim did. At which point the psychologist placed a very large unauthorized charge on the victim’s credit card, without notice or consent contrary to Standards of Professional Conduct. If you are in a situation where you require trauma-informed supports, without gender bias or additional harms, I would not suggest this organization.

We receive excellent care from Dr. Sullivan. She is compassionate and very understanding. She makes us feel like we are part of the team which helped us alot to feel like we were contributing rather than just standing by.

Great place to help recognize childhood issues. The staff understood what we were dealing with, provided us with the tools to help and most importantly provided the kids with the tools they needed to succeed.
