Amazing place, so much selection, staff is super friendly and the prices are really great for the quality of the products. I love how you can control how much or how little you can get, so if you want to try out a new product you’re not wasting a whole bottle as you can just get a small amount.Staff is super knowledgeable and helpful. I look forward to whenever I need refills. My favourite store in Nanaimo.

We just moved to Nanaimo and we're thrilled to find a store similar to one we shopped at for many years in Vancouver, The Soap Dispensary. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We will be making this a part of our regular shopping. I can see great things in the future for this place! Please check them out!

What an amazing place! The lady was so helpful! She knew her products and was so friendly. We walked away with a few treasured items! They sell the best period panties you will ever find (made somewhat locally I think?) and you could easily walk away with so many amazing things. If you’re looking for health conscious, well made bath and body (and beyond) products it’s worth the trip to the old city quarter. I’ll be back too many times and will encourage my friends on Gabriola to so straight there!

Used to love this place up until recently, two times now I have called in advance to make sure they have a certain product I need for refill in stock. Both times I was told over the phone that they have it. I drove 80kms each time one way to get there and be told to my face they don’t have it. Getting pretty frustrated with this refillery… stop telling customers you have an item in stock for refill if you don’t actually have it! Thanks for facilitating me burning for fossil fuels! After spending 100$ of dollars here you guys have officially lost a dedicated customer

WOW What a great experience! my husband loves the Glowing Orchid Organics deodorant and the wonderful staff set aside one for me on my way through town. I ended up getting one for myself as well! The staff there, Anna and Michaela, helped me pick out an amazing scent. I'm in love.This is the perfect store to help you on your journey in zero waste no matter where you are at.

This is such a fun store with beautiful products. Bring your own container or get one of theirs, fill up your supply of dishwasher powder or other hard to find essential items. Find many more locally (BC) made cleaning and beauty products. I love shopping here for presents for my family and friends. The staff is super helpful and knowledgeable, making the whole experience a joy!

Lovely shop, lovely service. They carry Oneka hair & body products which I really like. It only costs $6 - $8 to refill my shampoo & conditioner bottles. I really like the solid dish soap blocks as well, they last for ages and smell really good. The local handmade chocolates are incredible. Lots of nice things that could be given as gifts too, like tea towels, beeswax wraps, bowl covers, beard/mustache grooming items, etc.

I love this little shop. On top of the whole concept of shopping without acquiring a bunch of packaging, the 2 full time workers who are there are very friendly and helpful. I was in yesterday and one of the ladies asked right away if she could help fill my containers. When I expressed gratitude because I was running behind, the other worker also jumped in to help. By the time I finished gathering my items they had most of my order rung in. On my way to my vehicle out front I tripped on the sidewalk and fell, breaking one of my containers. They were quick to help clean up once they realized what had happened and replaced my tea for me as well. They even had a compostable bandaid on hand.I look forward to more shopping days here!
