Friendly staff and Vertica is quick to respond to most complaints one could have.

This landlord accused me that I missed a payment, refused to work with me to resolve any discrepancies and sent me directly to the collection company. The collection company threatened me with tremendous impact to my credit score. If you have a similar issue with this landlord, the only way to resolve it is to file a case with the provincial government. The landlord simply ignores you.

The apartment used to be managed well. Now it is impossible to reach to the property mgt. (The super was friendly at that time)......The follow-up process is awful as well.

My spouse and I lived here for two years, and while it wasn’t a bad place to be in many respects, there are problems (like bugs for example).Let’s start with the good:- The building Superintendent is very nice, and as helpful as they are able to be, given the building’s poor management.- The units are spacious.The bad:- The property management (by GWL, which is owned by a multinational) is incredibly poor. Setting aside the huge challenges in having someone respond to any issues you’re having, when they do respond, nothing will be done to address your concerns.- The building has bugs, and not bugs due to dirty or unkempt tenants. Firebrats (Google that, I had to when I moved in) are apparently attracted to something in the buildings construction. You’re stuck with them (or them with you?). GWL knew that they had this problem, and did not inform us prior to move in.- If something in your unit fails, like an appliance, it will be weeks or months before it is fixed. GWL is interested in their bottom line, and not your comfort. Be prepared to do without.- Broken elements in the building. There are two elevators for six floors. Many of the residents are elderly persons. When we moved out, one of two elevators had been “out of order” for over three months, with no end in sight.- Money troubles. The Nova Scotia standard form lease agreement requires that your security deposit be held by a third party, and returned by the landlord within 10-days of lease end. Mine was not. The landlord has that 10-day period to notify you of damage, for which they intend to withhold some or all of your deposit. It has been one month since I moved out, and GWL refuses to return my nearly $1K deposit, or even to respond to my emails with anything beyond ‘we’re working on it’. The have never identified any deficiencies, and the unit was immaculate when we left (thanks to my lovely spouse’s hard work). This was the last straw for me, and has me here on Google writing this review.For reference, the photo below shows a serious electrical short in our building-supplied, microwave. It nearly caught fire, and took many weeks for GWL to action.Bottom line, with all the new buildings going up in Halifax and Bedford, why would you choose this one?

If you like to pay for a luxury apartment, at a luxury price, and like your building filled with barking dogs, this is the place for you. Great location though.
