I have always been treated well here except when I applied for credit card . The female Branch Boss could use some manners back then. I used to go McLeod and was sorry to see it close . Things have changed now and Everyone is so helpful and pleasant . Also like A Branch team on Henderson. Glad I switched as Banks are so belittling. Credit Unions more like Family

Our over all experience has been really bad with ACU for 2 seperate people over 5 years. After weeks of sending them piles of papers they just couldn't make a mortgage happen for me. Another credit union gave me a pre approval within 3 days and half the paperwork.They also screwed my husband over on his mortgage.They constantly make little mistakes, missing signature on a bank draft, so the other person can't use it. Cashed a post dated check to early leading to complaints from the person who wrote the cheque.And just bad advice overall. It's sad we really wanted to like Assiniboine but they have wasted so much of our time and money. If you can't pay attention to detail, signatures or numbers you probably shouldn't handle people's money.

When it comes to banking I know that ACU performs a lot within the community.The whole mortgage experience was stressful but Halal worked long hours to make sure it was completed on time.Definitely, recommend more email communication so I have a trail of what is going on rather then phone calls.When it comes to the banking side of things for everyday. E-transfers cost $1 each to non-credit union user. Discouraging but low fees and minimum requirements can make up for it with certain users.When it comes to credit union hours they are better then better then commercial banks. However, I was expecting better as I learned in a cooperative class at the U of W how ACU filled a void in the North End of Winnipeg when all the commercial banks left. Yes, the hours are already better but I was expecting more flexible hours as it is becoming more difficult to get out of downtown with rush hour each year.Obtaining a credit card with ACU is though Collabria and you need to access card via another website and not user friendly with the ACU app.

If I could give zero stars I would! The staff at this branch are very rude and condescending and in no way helpful, and apparently have NO idea what they are doing. Also, when they screw up they will not even say they are sorry! Just more rudeness. I pulled my mortgage from them over 6 months ago because of countless issues, and they never bothered to notify my home insurance company. Which is apparently supposed to be done immediately, technically before the move is officially complete. My insurance company had no idea we switched and said they've never heard of this happening before. Then you call or go down there even, and no matter what the issue is, they could completely care less. Once this is straightened out I PRAY that I NEVER have to deal with Assiniboine Credit union EVER again!!!!!! Worst banking experience I have ever had!!!!

35 min outside to cash the same paycheck as every 2 weeks for the last 5 years, no credit problems, never a missed payment or bounce cheque. But still requires in person visits or 7 days hold with the app if it works 50/50

This is the worst location for banking. If you want to go in and withdrawal funds it's good. The tellers are good but management are horrible. They do not go out of their way to help, they make things complicated, and are far from being friendly. Worst customer service. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I would go to another bank then this location. They have the worst reputation and many business who also can vouch for this.

Great experience.I was a little irritated (unrelated to the bank or branch) when I went in over the holidays. I behaved badly.Lyle was completely kind - respectful and professional in dealing me. His kindness actually made me rethink my own demeanour and truly helped me reshape my day.I later returned to share my appreciation for his kindness with him and met another lovely employee who was equally as bright and glowing.Thank you ACU for your staff!!It makes banking enjoyable.

I've been to this location twice and both times, each at different times of the day....have had to wait far too long to do a simple cash deposit. I was the 6th person in line, there were three cashiers and it took me 45 minutes to get out if there....plus, it was like the teller wasn't even sure of what denominations the coins were. Never again will I go to this branch, I'll drive the extra 10 minutes to another location and save time and the frustration!

Always have a good experience here. They're always helpful and friendly. Lyle has a big smile every time I walk in, helped me opened an account. Rafael is also awesome. Love it

Honestly if I could vote negative I would. Super disappointed with the utter lack of respect for my finances. Went to set up rrsp and tfsa, was told I couldn't do it on my own and had to come in. Had in person meeting after being told to wait for 30 mins passed my appointment time.... she then didn't give me any of my account notes to follow and then didn't even set up the accounts....Not to mention the fact that they force people to go into the branch even when it's not needed to sign papers" but yet I wasn't needing to sign anything.Happy that I have switched to Scotiabank where they at least care about making sure they follow through with what they say they will do."
