La Grotta Mediterranean Market

Lovely little market to go if you're in the area. It's a busy market so parking is hit and miss but people are in and out pretty quick. There's a bakery, meat vendor, cheese counter, gelato stand and dry and canned goods. Fresh vegetables and other misc items. My girlfriend just got me a cake from here and it was one of the best cakes I've ever had. Will be returning to try the other stuff eventually. Would highly recommend going in and taking a look!

Best cake in the city. I ordered oreo cake for my husband’s birthday and everybody loved it! Thankyou Denardi- (La Grotta) for making our occassion so special. Highly recommended everyone! If you love cakes- this place is a must go!

Edit: returned and loved all the warm pastas and pizza. Then gelato. Glad the quality and food still amazingNot my favorite. I live close so keep trying. Ordered the fish dish with pasta and chicken parm and was OK. Their pastries aren’t my favorite lots of sugar.

Picked up a Tiramisu for a birthday party. One of the best we've had yet.Everyone is always so pleasant there.Great local market!

We’ve always loved the cakes from La Grotta. We live from the other side of the city but we didn’t mind the drive because of the quality that their cakes offer. Until today, we ordered the big sized white chocolate pistachio and asked to add a greeting. First, they forgot the greeting and then once we sliced into the cake, we noticed the thickness of the buttercream, the top layer was way smaller than the bottom layer. Some of the white chocolate sidings were missing too. Not sure if it’s because it was the holidays or the inflation but the quality was disappointing. We couldn’t even finish the slices because the buttercream was so thick. Not sure if we’re going to order from them again after this.

I have been here a few times and over all, I have been satisfied with the food. The last time I was here, the pasta seemed like it was mixed with old pasta. So the outcome was over cooked pasta that tasted like mush mixed with pasta that was undercooked.When I got my cutlery, it was a knife and fork wrapped in a napkin. The fork looked okay and then I started eating and then I needed to use the napkin. The knife fell out onto the tray and it was so dirty! I instantly lost my appetite! Do I return the food or just take the loss and throw the food out so I don't hurl my guts out?

Lots of high quality, ready-to-cook meals! Especially like the pizza and lasagna. Really great, although a bit expensive, meat and seafood department. Dessert dept is out of this world.A really excellent variety of everything in a refreshingly small market.

I often go to this store as I love their bakery, meats and produce. I bought this Greek Salad yesterday and sadly when I opened it for dinner tonight to go with the meat lasagna I purchased, half of the lettuce was brown. A real disappointment.
