Bestcoast Renovations

We recently remodeled three of our bathrooms which were hopelessly stuck in the 90s and chose Bestcoast Renovations for the job. The end result was amazing, and I'm still wowed every time that I walk into the master ensuite!I had at least 8 contractors give me estimates on the bathroom remodeling, and Albert was the one who impressed me the most. He's friendly and knowledgeable, with an amazingly postitive attitude. I was also impressed with all of the in-progress photos and videos of his projects on Bestcoast's Instagram page. That level of transparency made me feel confident that I was making the best choice.Albert put a lot of time and effort into this job, including multiple visits with different trades, before we had even signed a contract with him. That always impresses me. He estimated that the job would take 6-8 weeks and promised me that it would be done before Christmas (we started late October). Due to a delay with one supplier, it was finished right at 8 weeks, which was accomplished by his crew and trades braving a very heavy snowfall to get the job done before the holidays!Albert was very responsive to any questions or concerns that came up during the work. We were still undecided about a few things when the work started, so we knew there would be a few additional costs. Albert was always very up-front about these.With many previous contractors that we've hired, we've had problems with sloppy work on the fine details and trim. But Albert has a keen eye for the finishing details. I knew this when I hired him, because he proudly posts close-up pictures of baseboards, door casings, and other finishing details on his Instagram account!Bestcoast's crew are great to work with and did a fantastic job of keeping me informed as to what work was being done on a day-to-day basis, as well as which crew members or trades people would be here on a given day. Upon starting the job, the first priority was to ensure that all of the flooring between the front door and the bathrooms was protected. They kept the work site as clean and tidy as possible throughout the project.The trades that Albert works with are all very experienced and highly skilled. After the bathrooms were done, we hired the cabinetmaker (Mike Pachal of The Tailored Closet) to build us custom walk-in closet shelving for the master bedroom.Our bathrooms have been finished for a few months now, and we're still impressed every time we use them. Stepping into our master ensuite feels like we're in a luxury hotel! There have been a couple of oversights or minor issues that we discovered after the work was done (which I expect on a job this size), and Albert has been very responsive and made sure they were taken care of right away.We will be hiring Bestcoast Renovations for any future projects. Albert and his team have my highest recommendation.

Albert and his team at Bestcoast where awesome to work with. I was especially impressed with the way they took care of everything professionally, from dealing with my building management, clean up and even neighbours. The finished product was installed with a high degree of quality and care.

Albert and his team were great. We had a fairly complicated install with glue down engineered hardwood going over a fairly uneven floor with several previous types of flooring. The team spent a lot of extra effort to prep the subfloor than expected but the end result is fantastic. The extra finishes like the picture framing around the hearth and flush mount wooden registers are great as well. Albert was always responsive and communicated well about expectations and progress. The price was very fair and the team members working on our home where polite, friendly, and professional. We would use them again if we had the need and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Albert and his team recently turned our unfinished basement into a beautiful bedroom, bathroom, and laundry/mudroom area. From start to finish, Albert, his team of Patch and Jesse, and every other trade professional that he brought into our home, were amazing. Their professionalism, enthusiasm, openness to input, and respect for our wants/needs were incredible. We chose Albert based on his positive attitude and professionalism on the day we met him and this carried through to the end of our project. His team was dedicated to doing the best work, while having fun, which made it easy to have them in our home. The work was done quickly with high standards, within six weeks start to finish, and we are so in love with the results. I would highly recommend Albert and his team if you are looking to do work in your home. We will be hiring them again to replace our flooring upstairs!

Albert and Team from BESTCOAST RENOVATIONS just installed new luxury vinyl plank flooring and baseboards throughout our 3 floor (1,450sq ft) townhouse.This was the first major renovation we have done to our home, and I can truly say we picked the right team to complete it. Even though they weren't the cheapest quote we had, we selected Bestcoast Renovations due to the professional knowledge, confidence and personalities of Albert and the crew. Please check them out!!Albert, Patch, Rage, and Aquaman were always on time with not only their amazing personalities... but also their tools and work ethic. From start to finish, we were always kept in the loop with progress made, what leveling had to be done and if the completion date would be achievable. Not only was it doable but they quite literally nailed it.It took 5 days, but I can only say that the end result was nothing short of amazing.I am always a stickler for the small, fine details which show me the level of care and skill a tradesperson has. First and foremost.. is the cleanliness of a jobsite. I stopped by after hours and was amazaed at the level of care and pride they had in their work and workspaces. Trims and baseboards were all level and had perfectly crisp miters/ corners. The custom fabricated stairnosings were cut around existing expansion joint trims. And the piece de-la-resistance was their ability to remove old flooring and cut/ install the new flooring around and under an existing $6,000 concrete fireplace mantel. Not to mention calls from the crew to see if they could put our cat in a room to keep her from tracking self leveler all over our house and furnishings, or for a recommendation on how to finish off the shoemoulding around our kitchen cabinets.Hiring a contractor to do a large or small renovation is stressful. There are a lot of people that take advantage of the fact that most people don't know anything about how to do renovations.Let me take that stress away from you... HIRE BESTCOAST RENOVATIONS!! Albert's team did a great job at removing the old carpet and installing the new laminate flooring. They made sure that the subfloor was leveled before installation so there are no dips and creaks.During the process, they kept us updated about each step in the renovation and they were transparent towards any additional costs.After the the floors were completed, we had painting done and this gave the whole room a different look and feel.We would contact them again for future renovations!

I can't recommend Albert and his team highly enough! From my very first inquiry, Albert was responsive and communicative. I never had to wonder what was going on, or whether surprise expenses would come hit me in the face. Albert was very forthright about unexpected possible costs and confirmed everything with me before anything was done. They completed a big first floor renovation in record time - including a brand new kitchen! And they were very professional and kind during the process. The reno was a challenge for everyone because we had to live in the house throughout the process, but Albert, Patch, Michael, Aquaman, Tyler, Lucas, and everyone else who came in to work were really great. I would never work with another contractor after this wonderful experience with Bestcoast. We now have a brand-new (and even!) floor and a brand new and much more functional kitchen. I got a quote from Albert to replace my old flooring with waterproof laminate and we are so pleased. He and his team also replaced the baseboards and door casings. Luc did an excellent job with the interior painting. The team worked quickly and professionally. I would recommend Best Coast to anyone doing a renovation.

Albert and his team installed our floor beautifully and efficiently in less than a week. I don’t know the terms of construction but all the corners, ends, unders and overs are wonderfully done. Just amazing.
