Grizzly Bear Habitat
Great to see Grinder and Coola! Really happy playing in the water. Go early to catch them in view. We went back in the afternoon and they'd hidden somewhere in their woods!

Grizzly Bear Habitat
I learned so much about bears. The person speaking about them was encyclopaedically knowledgeable. My baby was also absolutely delighted by them. What incredible creatures!There was a bonus today of having a spritz of water mist going around near the enclosure, too. A pleasant way to learn about a majestic creature I would not like to encounter on any other mountain wander.Here are some photos to give you an idea of the closeness, but they cannot do the experience justice.

Grizzly Bear Habitat
What can you say? You get to see two very charming grizzly bears doing their thing very close. They seem happy. Rescued as orphaned cubs they wouldn't have survived if not found and taken care of by humans. Despite their fearsome reputation, these two grizzlies just seem so gentle and cuddly. You just want to give them a big hug. But, y'know... Don't.

Grizzly Bear Habitat
Having travelled all the way from New Zealand (with one of my hopes being to see bears) I was initially disappointed that all my photos would have mesh at the forefront, but after I found a spot that allowed a clearer view, I was enthralled. It is such a privilege to have the opportunity to see, experience and photograph bears like this. It's a great enclosure and a fantastic opportunity. If you are able to get here, it's more than worth the effort. Fabulous!!

New habitat. We went when the bears were just ending their hibernation. Path can be VERY muddy so wear appropriate shoes.

Fun place. Limited shade and bugs can be thick so take precautions.

Grizzly Bear Habitat
Absolutely amazing experience. It’s breathtaking to see this furry behemoths in this enclosure. We were able to follow them around as they walked and ate. They were very active when we went around 7pm! There were two staff members who were very knowledgeable and answered all our questions about the bears! It was an excellent experience.

Easy to get to once you step off the gondola. Had no troubles seeing the bears, though you might have to wait a bit if they're in the wooded area of the enclosure.

Grizzly Bear Habitat
This was such an informative experience! We learned so much about how bears hibernate. These grizzlies were just coming out of hibernation. Every now and again they would lift their heads and then, like a teenager, fall right back asleep. Would highly recommend this!!
