Uncle's Restaurant and Cabins

I was pleasantly surprised. It's not the Ritz so don't get too excited. Good enough for what it is. Better try the breakfast. Was damn good.

You will immediately know that this is the only restaurant in Hornepayne. You may get food, eventually. It may be cooked. The 'kitchen' backs into the owner's living room, joined to the restaurant.. sometimes you get a little sick from the food, sometimes not so much. Proportion sizes vary by the day. Even in an emergency, it would likely be a better idea to go to the tiny local grocery store...

People were very nice. Place was dirty and there was a big stain on the floor don't know what it was. Booked 3 nights only stayed two and never got refunded anything. They were re modeling the other cabins when I was there so maybe good place to stay in the future. Prices were decent.

Stayed there with a work crew, this past weekend. Cabins were clean, great price, and in great shape. The restaurant had a variety of good food, made to order, on site with great pricing. Will book again!

Stayed in cabin 2 the night before a fishing trip. First thing that was alarming when we opened the door was a strong smell of Raid bug killer. More like an averaged size hotel room than a large cabin". It did have a refrigerator and AC which was nice. There was packing tape around the AC unit and bathroom light with many dead flies stuck behind it. Some odd stains around the place on the walls and ceiling. Options in Hornepayne are very limited but I will likely not stay here again. Four of us all slept in our clothes and boots in fear of being bitten by a spider or the like during the night. The owners seemed nice and the rate was reasonable for the location and accommodations. We didn't use the shower as we wanted to be out of there ASAP in the morning."
