Great space to take in local theatre and music. Usually visit only during The Fringe though.

It's a lovely small theatre. You sit quite close to the stage--no bad seats. Great lighting. Very lovely space downstairs for food and drinks at intermission.

Hidden gem in the city! Such a great old building to perform in and to watch performances in. It oozes character and charm. OntheBoards staging company which runs the venue does an amazing job across the board!

I came here for a jazz and poetry readying. The venue served the event well. I also noticed a cool basement with art on the wall. And they served beer and wine. May book this place in the future.

The Refinery Arts and Spirit Centre served as a momentous and safe outlet for the prerecorded musical sessions for Telemiracle 2021. I was impressed with protocols set in place and procedures followed to maintain a safe and enjoyablesetting to perform with our band again, during these Covid times. Great space and great people running the show!

The place is small and cozy. It opens only an hour before the show so you shouldn't be too early. Inside the lobby you can find wine and snacks. It is also a gallery where you can find painting from affordable to expensive. The theater is small and comfortable, perfect if you want a personal experience. At the end of the play you can participate in the after play so they'll give you free cookies. There are a lot of regular costumers but the play is open to anyone trying something new. The play by itself was excellent, the actors we're good, the writing was smart, the background on point and the acting funny and cartoonish as a comedy requires but not excessively. Thought-provoking but simple enough for the common folk to follow. Just subtle enough to respect the audience but bold enough to make the existencial nature of the play funny and light.
