I recently dined at this restaurant for lunch with my family, and despite a busy atmosphere, we had a positive experience. Upon arriving at the parking lot, it was evident that the place was crowded. However, we were promptly seated as soon as we walked in. We noticed that there were only three ladies serving the entire restaurant, which indicated that they were understaffed. It seemed like an unexpected rush had occurred.While we did have to wait a few minutes to place our order, we could see that the servers were working tirelessly to assist all the guests. They were running around, attending to everyone's needs. The staff members who served us were polite and apologetic for the wait times. Although it took a little longer than usual, our order was accurate and the food was delicious.I would like to extend my gratitude to the two tables in our section who belittled the servers because their orders didn't arrive immediately. Their behavior served as a valuable lesson for my wife and me to teach our daughter about treating others with respect and empathy.Overall, I commend the entire staff for their hard work and dedication. Despite being understaffed, they managed to maintain a positive attitude and deliver a pleasant dining experience. Well done!

For vegetarians in Canada, there are barely any Italian restaurants with food other than salads, pizza, and garlic bread that you can eat. However, East Side Mario's is an amazing restaurant and I definitely recommend going there, lunch or dinner! This is why.First of all, the ambience is amazing. The bathrooms are clean, the restaurant is clean, the plates, cutlery and cups are properly washed. The theme is bright and friendly which attracts a lot of families with children.The food is delish!! There are many vegetarian options, but I do wish there were more. I don't recommend over ordering because it can get super filling and you'll miss the chance to eat the scrumptious Caramel Brownie!! The perfect appetizer is soup. It will not fill your stomach a lot. The kind staff will offer a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese on all your non dessert dishes. The Pesto Penne is a MUST, especially if you're vegetarian! We were so hungry, as soon as the food arrived, I forgot to take photos, so all you can see is the complimentary garlic bread, which you can ask for again for free!Lastly, the staff was so friendly and helpful. Our server was a wonderful person named Hunter who never resisted to attend to our needs, just like all the other incredible staff members.East Side Mario's is overall a wonderful restaurant which deserved 5/5 stars!

Great experience. The service was great and we didn’t have to wait for very long to be served. Much appreciated this. The food was delicious and just enough for a great meal. The server was very pleasant and this encouraged me to have dessert as well, though it was not planned. Highly recommended!

Good place for a low cost meal if you like pasta. Wedding soup and pasta was quite good. The mozzarella sticks were great but avoid the calamari appetizer it taste like last weeks rubber chicken.Good food but not great. Very good service from the wait staff.

I went to East Side with a friend who had never been. She was very impressed with the portion of salad she received and with the warm bread. She was a bit disappointed with the lasagna, but still took home the leftovers. I had the Three Cheese Gigantico Ravioli. It was good, but very rich! I also had one of their new summer drinks, the Violet Iced Tea Lemonade. It had a good flavour, but was very sweet!Our server was lovely and didn't make us feel rushed (even though we stayed right until close...). The bathroom was mostly clean. And the restaurant seemed clean and well organized.

Fairly pricey with a smaller pasta portion so it is not worth unless you eat lots of the all you can eat soup and salad. Waiter was very good.

Stopped here on the way home.Liam was awesome. He was fun and attentive and knowledgeable and honest about his skills. Definitely did a great job tonight.Food was good and plentiful. I know what I'm having for dinner tomorrow at work.Thanks again. If we're in the area again, we'll be stopping by.

First of all, of all the East Sides I have visited in over 30 years of dining, this location remains my all time favorite. I don't know how since the menu is the same, but the food here tastes the best of any east side's.Now, I am embarrassed to admit this but I don't usually remember my servers name to leave reviews. Today however I had to make a point to remember her. The young woman who served me, Kendra, was courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and engaging. She was professional throughout and yet she made me feel like an acquaintance not a customer. She checked in on me frequently enough to ensure I never was wanting or waiting for refills, but not so frequently as to disrupt my meal. She always had a smile and a kind word or two. She also always wanted to make sure I was satisfied with every aspect of my dining experience. Kendra is an exemplary server and made my experience today incredible. Oh and by the way, today is Easter Sunday and they were quite busy - this was not a slow day where such service is easier to provide.Thanks Kendra and all the staff at East Side's Guelph today and everyday!
