SBI Canada Bank

SBI, whether it’s India, US, or Canada, it will work exactly like any other government establishment with ‘Baboos’ and ‘Maadams.’Verrrrry laidback attitude. They will try their best for you to not do any request in-person but do everything on YONO SBI app. If you were lucky, the app will work like a piece of cake, like in my case. But same steps got a huge trouble for my wife. She called the branch, and the lady officer said she cannot do anything as it is on the app. So?? What do we do then? If a bank person cannot do anything then who will help? Reply: check the website. You will find that the netbanking is not that user intuitive. My wife called the receptionist, her reply: she cannot do anything. Check on netbanking. Really?Bank branch is far away in Surrey, they work office hours and now they are calling us to the branch. First they will shoo us to go and work on the app, and when app won’t work, then come to the branch, for which, we have to take leave from work. Oh Man! SBI and the Baaboos will never change. Their jobs are secure, so why do they have to work?The only plus point for SBI is the interest rate which to my knowledge is highest in Canada for GIC and TFSA.In India, we never turned to SBI, here we are turning to it for only one reason: interest rate. If you prefer that, please come to SBI, but be ready to get shocks from the YONO app. But if you were lucky, your work will get done fast, but if you were unlucky, like my wife, you will have all troubles and you’d have to take leave from work to go there or waste your Saturday to commute to the branch. Efficiency is just not possible or exist in SBI.I wanted to give 2 stars but ended up giving three stars coz of the interest rate.

I started banking with the SBI Canada Surrey branch in 2022. I am highly impressed by its high level of service. Despite being a small branch, its services are at par with the leading banks, especially the very cooperative attitude of all the staff.The staff members are highly experienced and mature. They listen to customers' problems patiently and try to help them as far as possible. I look forward to having a long business relationship with this branch.

I am banking with the SBI Canada Surrey branch for the past 10 years. I am proud to say that the branch has a highly professional staff. The manager and his team are always ready to go beyond and above help customers especially those who need special assistance. I got my mortgage approved at an unbeatable rate. Mrs. Aruna, Mr. Sidhu, Mr. Bhatti, and Ms. Jasdeep are always eager to help customers with a smile. I have never seen anyone being rude to customers. Within their framework of rules, the entire staff tries to help customers to the extent best. I have not had a single bad experience at this branch so far. I am proud to be associated with this branch.

When you enter one grumpy women will say hi!! You feel unwelcoming,. I inquired about opening an account, asks me why would I want to open an account with them, for which I answered that why would anybody want to open accounts with them.. what do they offer…. And thus the entire conversation went!!! Gave one star as she could ask some basic questions !

The bank branch has moved recently to a new location (13767 72a Ave, Surrey BC). It is a great facility with bigger area to accommodate more customer services.Mr. Sidhu has been a great help for me for the last two years in this bank, also the other staff members in this bank are very helpful and supportive. I've receive timely service and response from them whenever I have approached.They always receive the customer with happy face and leaves me with a satisfied service.

I recently visited this branch as I am having many questions regarding NRE account and SBI Canada savings account. I was greeted very well by the staff. As I was visiting them from Victoria the staff understood my situation and guided me downloading the app and helped me in passing all hurdles and opened my account immediately. Surjit Bhatti is very soft spoken and helpful Gentleman who helped us to resolve all our questions and we got our debit cards also on the spot. Thanks for all the help it saved me a lot of time and efforts. Bank has many good offers in paying high interest on fixed deposits...amazing

The manager Aditya is one of the nicest managers ever. We got scammed out of more than 5 thousand dollars by someone in India who holds SBI account. He empathised and helped answer all the questions we had with so much patience. In todays date and time someone with such demeanor is a true gem. Great job! And thanks very much !

Great service provided by Mr. Sidhu ji. He activated my GIC account and provides debit card to me within 15-20 mins.Also good information and lesson provided by the Manager about the Online app Yono Sbi.

Felt like they need to take some classes for ‘How to deal with a customer’ . Spoke to one of the representatives who was probably the most rude amongst all.

Recently visited this branch and was impressed with their speedy and professional service.Mr. S Sidhu went out of his way to come out to the parking lot to obtain my 99 years old father's signature who has mobility issues, now that's real good customer service.Thank you SBI staff!
