Princess Theatre (Plaza Entertainment)
Temporarily closed at the moment, but pre-pandemic, this movie theatre, together with Metro Cinema, were standouts. Two screens available for your viewing pleasure, very reasonable ticket prices and your choice of ground or balcony-level seating.Like Metro, Princess Theatre allowed audiences to experience the beauty and wonder of the independent film world in a comfortable setting.Hopefully this gem will re-open again soon.

We recently watched a movie in the Princess II theatre, and it was alright. The prices were reasonable, the picture quality was ok. Sound quality was fine. Seat comfort was lacking. The theatre definitely gets points for fitting in on Whyte Ave. I would go again, but my wife would not.

Old school theatre showing many great indie films. Seats weren't cineplex level comfort but the building, screen and sound were all good enough for the viewing experience.

nice place! It's like walking back through history seeing shows there and they have a lot of shows that don't show in the Big chain theater which is really enjoyable. Popcorn is great too.

Love this place. It's a gem in Edmonton. It's quaint, from an era much forgotten. Love that it has a special room for mum's with babies!
