Coast West Edmonton Hotel & Conference Centre

Perfect for visiting the City and our trip to River Cree for a show. The Room was extremely clean and the staff were great hosts. We had a lovely City view. We will definitely visit again. It was just a little hot in the room as the control wouldn't turn down and the remote for the tv was faulty but they gave us another one.

My boss booked this room for a group of us. Not sure why 4 of us were out in a 1 bed room. Hotel staff told us there was a pull out couch so it was fine. Uh..then can't you give us sheets and blankets? I had to phone/go down multiple times to get enough bedding, towels, etc.There elevator is incredibly slow..always a line up and you can't use the stairs as they don't access the floors

This place needs general maintenance, badly. Hallways were filthy. Smoke detector hanging down out of ceiling. Our first room had a barely closing door with no security. The deadbolt wouldn’t close, and the safety latch was hanging on by a few threads. Cleanliness was at a minimum. Also pretty long hold on a damage deposit 3-5 days considering we had to move rooms, into something that at least had a door. Brutal.

Worst customer service I have every experienced. I made the mistake of booking a hotel for my husband and I left the reservation in my name. Which is 100% my fault. But to receive a call lecturing me on this mistake and to yell at me was crazy.Then when he was aloud to check in they told him he need to have $300 cash for the damage deposit and they would not accept debit. When I called to ask them why, they were very rude and threatened to cancel my room reso without returning my money I pre-paid online. The manager was very rude and short and unable to work with me. When I tried to end the call she continued to yell. Finally I had to ask if she was done yelling so I can get off the phone.My husband explained the state of this hotel to be dirty and would not recommend no matter how cheap it is.

Good location close to west edmonton mall, lots of food and car dealerships around. There's also a Walmart 3 minutes away although you kinda have to drive through the Chevrolet. You can even do some window shopping at the Porsche if you get the right room. Parking is kind of limited. We weren't given a room sign for cleaning or sleeping but got it pretty fast when we asked. Smells nice and room looks good except for a stain on the floor. (We stayed in room 2112 from then 17th to the 20th Mar 2023) At this time there was unfournately some kids on a school trip that kept running around the halls/lobby and were kind of disturbing. Vending machines seem a little finicky with the credit card and are also overpriced but that is to be expected. We also say someone's white smartfood popcorn get stuck in it and it didn't move until the next morning. Normal checkout time is at 11:00 AM with check in at 4:00 PM, but they extended our time to 12:30 PM for free when we asked them. Parking lot could use some work as there was a lot of water ice and at one point a dead bird. Room was a decent size and anything but no major complaints. We were surprised to find a mini fridge in there though. The pizza was only okay not the greatest thing ever.

I stayed at this hotel once before a few years ago and remembered it was pretty decent for the price, so thought I’d give it another shot for a business trip.We went to check in and waited about 20 minutes as there were 4 other guest checking in in front of us, only one person working the front desk. Got our room keys on the “Inn” side of the hotel. Got to our room, was in okay shape. First thing we noticed was the bathroom was very poorly lit, only one old lightbulb in the fixture. Went and had a shower and the bathtub wasn’t draining, also noticed some long black hairs on the shower wall.Went down and informed the staff of this the next morning and they apologized and said they’d take care of it for us.Get back to our room later in the same afternoon, room wasn’t made up, did provide us with new towels, but also left the hair pulled from the drain in the toilet and all the debris in the bathtub. There was also the lightbulb they replaced in the bathroom and left it on the sink. Went and returned the lightbulb to the front counter and explained what had happened, they apologized, again.Went to check out the following morning, hoping they’d provide some compensation and as we took the elevator down (which is very old) we got stuck in the elevator on the first floor for about 5 minutes. The door opened about 4 inches, but didn’t move. Luckily we managed to get back up to the second floor and walked down.When we reported this to the counter staff, they denied it happened and said that it was impossible because there was a family waiting at the elevator recently and it worked fine. When we explained to them it happened, they got argumentative with us and kept denying it happened. I asked for a copy of the bill as I needed it for work and they said that because I booked online, they can’t provide me with a bill, despite every other hotel I’ve been to that I’ve booked online previously being able to provide the bills.There were other issues with the hotel such as tiles falling off the shower walls, the air conditioning unit that struggled to stay on and I assume has never been cleaned before as I left and now have a sinus infection from all the poor air quality, and people who appeared to be selling drugs out of their car in the parking lot.Gave it a second chance, regret every minute of being there. Would advise against and am going to be informing the respective oversight boards of their poor condition of the building and elevators.

There was no hot water, shower and sinks drained slowly. Room lay out was awkward it was obvious it was once a double room and they just removed a bed. We were supposed to stay two nights left after one. No apology from staff for the lack of hot water etc. Never again.

Dirty place. I don't recommend people staying in this place as. Window has kiss mark, toilet has p**p stain, hair dryer is greasy, some bed cover has stain on it. Overall, this hotel is not good and it needs to have a proper maintenance.

This hotel was not a comfortable place to stay. When we first checked in the Carpet was dirty and not vacuumed, Dirty socks were found behind the TV, the bathtub nozzle was falling off the tub, the shower curtain was bloody, and the water cooler was empty, asked twice to get more water and both times I was ignored and never got any service, no microwave in rooms, and poor housekeeping. The bathroom sink water pressure shoots put and sprays you. Staff are rude. And pool is cold, no slides or hot tub. Defendantly not recommended anyone staying here!! Pay few bucks more and stay in a hotel where the service is friendly and prompt, and where it's clean!
