M-Clara's Alterations

I had a terrible experience here. Find a different tailor.I brought in 6 items and paid $220 for all of the alterations. When I picked up the clothes 4 items were fine, 1 had not been done at all, and 1 had a major problem.When I told the owner one alteration was not done she said I thought you changed your mind". I said that I paid for the work. And she pinned it. No comment.The problem item was a shirt that I bought in a size above my regular size. I wanted the room in the hips but it was too large in the upper body. She pinned the sleeves and the upper torso for alteration. When I tried it on it was slim throughout and now too tight around my hips. I said that she took too much in. She said she did not. I said that she did. She said that maybe I gained weight. She reprimanded me for accusing her of being a liar. In the end

I am really happy with the repair on my denim. It looks like new and I'm excited to wear it again. Nice work and nice people (Tara was helping me out and she is really helpful). I feel welcomed by their kindness and will definitely come back if I have other alteration. Highly recommended for others to try out their services.

I can not speak to the quality of the work, as unfortunately I never made it that far. I'll simply say that this establishment is difficult to find. Only indoor parking is available and is sparse at best. I'd respectfully propose this company update their website to indicate that they are by appointment only. I went to their shop on a Friday, only to find a small cardboard note on the door stating that they are by appointment only". I then called to make an appointment and their phone number was not in service. This was a collosal waste of my time

Had the sleeves of a sport coat taken in from the shoulder, which is difficult to do properly, and these guys did a fantastic job. They're the only ones I would trust with any garment I care about. Highly recommended!

Called to find out about a zipper fix for my daughter’s bag and was helped through doing it easily myself for something they could have charged me for! Amazing customer service! Would definitely recommend.

Walked-in to get a button sewed on and they did it on the spot while I waited. They even fixed an additional button that was loose. Job was well done, quick, and affordable. Will definitely use again and recommend to friends.

Very recently I found myself between a rock and a hard place. It was 6:30 pm and I needed to get my pants altered for a job interview the next morning. I thought I was completely out of luck.... but.. after a short visit to Harry Rosen I was directed to Clara's. Not only were these ladies willing to help me with some hemming but they stayed after hours to do it ON THE SPOT... and gave me a great deal!It took no time at all and they did a fantastic job with my plants.If anyone needs an QUALITY alteration shop that they can TRUST go to M. Clara's.

I started coming here because it's close to my work. I've had two dresses hemmed and altered and am always impressed with their work! The ladies there always make me feel welcome :)

Trust me you're going to Love Her personality and job I've been taking my clothes (suits, jeans, slacks etc) to Tara the owner for about 4 years now. Out of all the vendors I've rated on yelp he is the only one I feel deserves at least 6 stars. First she's just a plain awesome person. Extremely knowledgeable and easy to talk to about what you need done. Second Her prices are very reasonable. Last and not least he is an absolutely amazing tailor. I've never taken one item let alone a variety of items to a tailor and been completely satisfied beyond any expectation I had until I started coming here. Every alteration fits my body perfectly, is done timely and with complete quality as I am yet to have even a thread come loose on anything. I don't even think twice about where to go when I need something altered.
